This article intended to examine phonological features of Korean Chinese characters in the literature of the Middle-Korean, focusing on the initial consonants of Korean Chinese characters, medial and final consonant, vocal chords, and the reflection of phonetic phenomena. To this end, the government wanted to examine the writing patterns of Korean Chinese characters, which are both written in Korean and written in Korean, and understand the features of Korean Chinese characters based on phonological features that can be seen here. According to the review, Middle-Korean Chinese characters can be seen as meaningful as data that can be comprehensively examined such as securing research and data on Korean language syllables, Korean vocabulary and process, Middle-Korean phonological history research, and borrowing of Korean Chinese characters. In examining this, not only initial and final, but also tone were important factors to consider. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to Korean Chinese characters that reflect actual sound data throughout the Middle-Korean language data, not only the vocabulary of the Korean language but also the study of the phonetic history of the Korean language.

이 글은 중세 국어 시기의 문헌에서 보이는 한자어의 음운론적인 성격을, 성모, 운모, 성조, 음운 현상의 반영 양상 등을 중심으로 살피고자 한 것이다. 이를 위해 한글 로 표기된 한자어, 한글 및 한자 표기가 공존하는 한자어를 중심으로 표기 양상을 살 피고, 이에서 엿볼 수 있는 음운론적인 모습을 바탕으로 해당 한자어의 성격을 이해 하고자 하였다. 고찰 결과 중세 국어 한자어는 국어 한자음 연구 및 자료를 확보하고, 한자어의 국어 어휘화 과정을 살피며, 한어계 한자어의 차용에 관한 것 등을 살펴볼 수 있는 자료로서 의미가 있음을 볼 수 있었다. 그리고 성모와 운모는 물론이고 성조 또한 한자어의 국어 어휘화 과정에서 한어와의 일반적인 대응 양상과는 달라질 수 있 다는 점을 중요하게 고려해야 함을 알 수 있었다. 그래야 정확한 어원을 추적할 수 있다. 이러한바 중세 국어 자료 전반에 걸쳐 현실음을 반영한 한자어들을 대상으로 전 면적인 고찰을 통하여 국어 어휘뿐 아니라 국어 음운사 연구 자료로서 관심을 기울일 필요가 있다.
