There is evidence to suggest that since ancient times humans have discovered natural patterns that could be shaped into specific shapes. The purpose of this study is to propose distinct and unique designs to customers by helping designers acquire ideas and skills by theoretically examining and analyzing the process of producing hair designs using four seasons of natural colors and patterns. Currently, in the beauty industry, hair color designs are limited and are very much alike. To focus on uniqueness, our study proposes several techniques and designs that allows hair coloring focused on individuality. Design 1 utilizes the highlights technique with sky, flower, and pastel colors. Under the theme of “stars in the night sea,” Design 2 uses the Butterfly Tip technique to create a subtle color like bright stars shining even in the darkest night in the sea. Design 3 uses gradation techniques to showcase the theme of sunset and dusk. This technique highlights the yellow light of sunset and the red glow of dusk. Design 4 utilizes mosaic patterns on hair colors to highlight the theme of snow and stone. Black and white colors are used to illustrate the cold and heavy feeling of snow and stone, respectively. Using natural shapes and colors, the beauty industry could aim to create more modern and unique styles. Additionally, the beauty industry should endorse and produce personal hair color designs that enhance individuality and uniqueness of today’s customers. Lastly, the beauty industry requires further design advancement through creative style production using natural patterns and color techniques.

예로부터 인간은 자연의 질서를 발견하며 이를 형태화하며 기능적인 근거를 찾아내어 왔다. 본 연구는 자연 속 4계절의 질서에서 발견한 컬러와 형태를 모티브로 하여 컬러를 활용한 헤어 디자인에 이론적으로 고찰하고, 제작하는 과정을 분석함으로써 디자이너에 게 아이디어 및 기술 습득에 도움을 주고 고객에게 다양하고 차별화된 디자인을 제안하는 데에 목적을 두고 있다. 현재 미용 산업에서는 헤어 컬러 디자인이 획일화, 단일화가 되는 한계점이 있다. 이에 각 개인의 개성에 중점을 맞춰 헤어 컬러를 제안하기 위해 여러 컬러 기법을 이용한 작품을 제작하였으며 작품1은 하늘과 꽃을 주제로 파스텔 계열 의 컬러를 활용하고 하이라이트 기법을 적용하였다. 작품2는 별과 밤바다를 주제로 헤어 컬러 기법 중 버터플라이 팁 기법을 적용하여 어둡고 푸른 밤바다에 밝은 빛의 별이 비춰 은은한 색감을 연출하였다. 작품3은 석양과 노을을 주제로 노을의 붉은 빛과 태양의 노란 빛이 붉게 물든 하늘을 그라데이션 기법으로 표현하였다. 작품4는 눈과 돌을 주제로 헤어 컬러 기법 중 모자이크 패턴을 적용하여 눈의 차가운 느낌과 돌의 무겁고 단단한 느낌을 화이트와 블랙 컬러로 디자인하였다. 자연 속 4계절의 질서에서 발견된 컬러와 형태를 모티브로, 개성화되고 다양화되어 있는 현대 사회에 무한한 아이디어와 다양한 컬러 기법을 활용한 창의적인 스타일 연출을 통해 고객의 욕구를 충족시키길 기대해본다. 또한, 개성과 독창성을 살린 헤어 컬러 디자인을 제안하고, 지속적인 디자인 개발이 이루 어지길 기대해본다.
