What are the factors influencing the success of mediation in the mediation of the Labor Relations Commission? This study analyzed the factors affecting the success of mediation by using the mediation cases of labor disputes handled by the Labor Relations Commission in Korea from 2007 to 2018. As a result of the analysis, when the number of workers was less than 200 or both labor and management representatives participated in the mediation meeting, it was found that the public service projects and essential public service projects were more likely to be successful than the general business. On the other hand, it was analyzed that if the higher union of the union is a Democratic Trade Union, or if both labor and management delegates participated in the mediation meeting, the probability of successful mediation was low. In order to increase the mediation success rate in the labor dispute, the Labor Relations Commission invites representatives of labor and management parties to participate in the mediation process, while providing more active mediation services for companies and public interest projects with less than 200 employees, and revitalizing the support system for vulnerable company in labor relations. 노동위원회 노동쟁의 조정에 있어 조정성공에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인가? 본 연구는 2007 년부터 2018년까지 노동위원회에서 처리한 노동쟁의 조정사건을 활용하여 조정성공에 영향을 미치 는 요인을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 근로자 수가 200명 미만이거나, 조정회의에 노사대표 모두 참여할 때, 공익사업과 필수 공익사업이 일반사업보다 조정이 성공할 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 노동조합 상급단 체가 민주노총이거나, 조정회의에 노사위임자 모두가 참여한 경우에는 조정이 성공할 가능성이 낮 은 것으로 분석되었다. 노동위원회가 노동쟁의 조정성공률을 높이기 위해서는 조정과정에 노사당사자의 대표자 참여를 유도하는 한편, 200명 미만 기업과 공익사업 등에 대해서는 보다 적극적인 조정서비스를 제공하고, 노사관계가 취약한 기업에 대한 지원제도를 활성화할 필요가 있다.
