The sixth industry has recently been highlighted as a way to tackle the crisis in rural areas facing a decline in agricultural income and aging rural areas. In this study, understanding the sixth industrial and agricultural design and analyzing the types of advanced cases at home and abroad, the direction of successful design convergence 6th industrialization was presented as follows. First, the convergence of design and agriculture, and the diversification of the value of utilization of agricultural products that become rural-based resources into design materials should be conducted in collaboration with local rural areas, the site of practice, with customer value-oriented concepts. Second, the establishment of identity with integrated design, farms and agricultural products should be studied by storytelling from the stage of developing the farm's brand. Third, sixth industrial design revitalization education should be conducted with experts in the field of design to promote creative agricultural and rural design development. The proposition 'sixth industrial and design convergence' will be a major key to the creation of high value added in rural areas, becoming a success strategy to shape and meet the needs of consumers, and research into the integration of sixth industry and design is critical to this end.

최근 농업소득 감소와 농촌의 고령화 등에 따라 직 면하고 있는 농촌의 위기를 타파하기 위한 방안으로 6차 산업이 부각되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 6 차 산업과 농업디자인에 대해 이해하고 국내·외 선진사례들의 유형을 분석하여 성공적인 디자인 융합의 6차 산업화 추진 방향을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 첫째, 디자인과 농업의 융합화, 농촌기반 자원이 되 는 농산물을 디자인 소재로 활용가치를 다변화하여 고객가치 지향적인 개념으로 실천의 현장인 지역 농 촌과 협업이 실시되어야 한다. 둘째, 통합디자인으로 정체성 확립, 농장 및 농산품 디자인은 농장의 브랜드 개발 단계부터 스토리텔링화 하여 연구되어야 한다. 셋째, 6차 산업 디자인 활성화 교육은 디자인 분야의 전문가와 함께 실시하여 창의적인 농업 및 농촌 디자인 개발을 촉진할 수 있어야 한다. ‘6차 산업과 디자인 융복합화’라는 명제는 농촌 의 고부가가치 창출의 주요한 핵심이 되어 수요자의 요구를 구체화하고 충족시킬 수 있는 성공전략으로 자리하게 될 것이며 이를 위해 6차 산업과 디자인의 접목을 위한 연구는 매우 중요하다.
