The purpose of this study is to explore the current status of work education in the technology education field at elementary school teacher training colleges in Korea, and to suggest ways to activate work education in the future. Based on the results of the study, the conclusions are as follows. First, work education activities should be strengthened in teacher training programs. According to the survey, the average number of courses was 2.7 and the class hours were 4.4 hours per week. It was less than two hours per class. Second, as a way to revitalize work education, a program that emphasizes creative work activity should be provided. This does not mean simply following the work activity, but a change to the work activity that emphasizes creative handwork. Third, as a way to revitalize work education, a convergence program of maker activity and work activity should be created. It should consist of a program that combines maker-work activity through voluntary experience, maker-work activity experiencing failure, and maker-work activity sharing results. Finally, as a way to promote work education, an integrated program of invention activities and work activities should be developed. The program needs to consist of invention work activities that generate creative ideas, work activities that solve problems in life, and work activities that experience practical patents. Based on the findings and conclusions of this study, the suggestions for further study are as follows. Comprehensive research is needed to improve the image of work education. It is also necessary to combine work activities with maker activities to improve bright images and to improve the image of practical arts education.

이 연구의 목적은 우리나라 초등교사 양성 대학에서 기술영역의 노작교육 현황을 탐 색하고, 노작교육 활성화를 위한 방안을 제시하는 데 있으며, 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사 양성 프로그램에 노작교육활동이 강화되어야 한다. 이번 조사결과에 따르 면, 평균 강좌 수는 2.7개였으며, 주당 수업시간은 4.4시간이었다. 둘째, 노작교육 활성화를 위한 방안으로, ‘창조적 노작활동을 중시하는 프로그램’으로 재편되어야 한다. 이것은 단순한 노작활동의 따라하기가 아니라 창조적 손놀림을 중시 하는 노작활동으로의 변화를 의미한다. 셋째, 노작교육 활성화를 위한 방안으로, ‘메이커 활동과 노작활동의 융합 프로그램’ 을 만들어야 한다. 여기에는 자발적 경험을 통한 메이커 노작활동, 실패를 경험하는 메 이커 노작활동, 결과를 공유하는 메이커 노작활동의 융합된 프로그램으로 구성되어야 한다. 마지막으로, 노작교육 활성화를 위한 방안으로, ‘발명활동과 노작활동의 통합 프로그 램’을 개발하여야 한다. 기존의 틀을 벗어나 창의적 아이디어를 창출하는 발명 노작활 동, 생활 속의 문제를 해결하는 발명 노작활동, 실용적인 특허를 경험하는 발명 노작활 동으로의 통합 프로그램이 가시화되어야 한다.
