Many related studies for medical institutions are focused only on explaining domestic medical institution entering into a certain country. Therefore, there is limitation of explaining the key factors impacting on the foreign performance. Because of this limit threshold, the aim of this study examines the factors on foreign performance of medical institutions. First, using many points of view such as resource based view, view of CEO characteristics, and industrial organization view, this study found the components impacting on the foreign performance, and investigated their effects. It is reported that both CEO entrepreneurship and resource capability positively affect on foreign performance of medical institutions. Conclusion includes the empirical results and the direction of future study.

의료기관의 해외진출과 관련한 다수의 연구들은 특정 국가에 진출한 의료기관의 설명에 초 점을 두고 있다. 따라서 해외성과에 영향을 미치는 주요한 요인들을 설명하지 못하는 한계를 지 닌다. 이러한 한계점 때문에, 본 연구의 목적은 의료기관의 해외성과에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 규명하는데 있다. 먼저 본 연구는 자원기반관점, 경영진특성관점, 산업조직론적 관점과 같은 다 양한 관점을 이용하여 의료기관의 해외성과에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분류하였으며, 34개의 의 료기관들을 대상으로 각 요인들이 의료기관들의 해외성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 대해서 조사하였다. 실증분석의 결과에서 나타난 바와 같이, 경영진특성관점에서 경영진의 기업가정신 과 자원보유 역량은 해외성과에 지속적으로 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 요인으로 규명되었다. 본 연구는 결론에서 실증분석의 결과와 향후의 연구방향을 제시하였다.
