The purpose of this study is to develop and validate the collegiate essential competencies assessment of S university. In order to accomplish this purpose, 1) explore previous research on competencies and cases of developing competencies assessment, 2) development of collegiate essential competencies assessment, 3) conduct internal consistency reliability and exploratory factor analysis of the development assessment on pre-tasted with 118 students was implemented. As a result, the factor structure of each essential competency was classified into 2~3 subfactor, and the reliability coefficient was appropriately between .691 ~ .961. The reliability and validity of the collegiate essential competencies assessment developed in this study were some what satisfactory. This research is meaningful in that can provide practical and useful information to other universities that want to develop or improve diagnostic tools in a similar process in a context of the context of a time when the demand for the development of customized competency diagnosis systems is high.

본 연구의 목적은 서울 소재 소규모 사립 S대학의 교육이념과 인재상을 바탕으로 대학 생 핵심역량 진단도구를 개발하고 타당화 하는데 있다. 연구목적 달성을 위해 역량에 대한 이론적 배경, 국내 고등교육기관의 핵심역량 진단도구 개발 사례를 탐색하였고, 내･외부 전문가 협의회를 거쳐 예비문항 초안에 대한 내용타당도 검토 및 문항 수정을 실시한 후 대학생 핵심역량 진단 문항을 개발하였다. 이후 118명의 학부생을 대상으로 예비조사를 실 시하였고, 이에 대한 구인타당도 및 신뢰도 분석을 토대로 최종 문항을 추출하였다. 분석 방법은 구인타당도 분석을 위해 탐색적 요인분석과 상관분석을 적용하였고, 신뢰도 분석을 위해 역량 척도별 문항 내적일치도 계수를 산출하였다. 분석결과, 각 핵심역량 별 요인구 조가 2~3개로 분류되었고, 각 역량과 하위요인의 신뢰도 계수는 .691~.961 사이로 양호하게 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 핵심역량(인간･인권의지, 민주시민 의식, 생명･평화의식, 융･복합적 사고능력, 조사･분석정보 활용능력, 대안제시･문제해결능력, 민주적 소통능력, 연대 및 공동체적 실천능력) 진단도구의 타당도와 신뢰도는 모두 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 개별 대학마다 맞춤형 역량진단시스템 개발 수요가 높은 시대 상황적 맥락에서 유사한 과정으로 진단도구를 개발하거나 개선하고자 하는 타 대학에도 실질적이고 유용한 정보를 제공할 수 있다는 점에 의의가 있다.
