The purpose of this research is to explore a measure to systemize the public relations in a region in various types to revitalize a university’s lifelong education support system for disabled. To meet this purpose, the research consisted of three dimensions: ‘organizational public relations’, ‘curriculum public relations’, and ‘specialist-training public relations’, and data was collected and analyzed according to the definition of the three types. Next, this study reviewed the appropriateness of the results of data analysis and the diagrams to finally apply on the study results through specialists’ meetings. First, as for ‘organizational-level public relations in a region,’ it was proposed that a university and a region’s lifelong education institution for people with disabilities must enter an agreement, and functional elements and accompanying conditions were also suggested to carry out this agreement. Second, in the ‘curriculum-level public relations for region’, it was argued that a university must create a manual for information data related to the implementation of a region-connected education or actually run the lifelong curriculum for disabled in various forms, along with accompanying conditions. Moreover, in the ‘specialist training-level public relations for region’, the study proposed a plan to provide professional capability training in several types for specialists working in a region’s lifelong education institution for disabled, with accompanying conditions. The above three types were examined from the perspective of interconnected application. This study also discussed the grounding principles for the above proposals to be realized, as well as the current key issues in the lifelong education for disabled and study results in interconnection. By doing so, this study shed light on how the study results should be used in what context and direction.

본 연구는 대학의 장애인 평생교육 지원체제를 활성화시키기 위한 일환으로 지역 대 상의 홍보를 다양한 유형으로 체계화시킬 수 있는 방안을 탐색하는 데에 목적을 두었 다. 연구목적에 의한 연구 내용을 세 가지 차원인 ‘조직적 홍보체계’, ‘교육과정적 홍보체계’, ‘전문가 양성 홍보체계’로 구성하였으며, 세 가지 유형의 정의 기준에 따 라 자료 수집에 의한 선정과 자료 분석이 이루어졌다. 그리고 자료 분석의 결과와 연구 결과에 최종 반영하고자 하는 도식에 대한 적절성을 전문가 회의에 따라 검토하는 절차 역시 거쳤다. 첫 번째 연구 내용인 ‘조직적 차원의 지역 대상 홍보체계’에서는 대학 과 지역의 장애인 평생교육기관 간의 협약이 체결되어야 한다는 입장이 제시되었고, 이 런 협약이 구체적으로 실행되기 위한 기능요소와 수반조건 역시 제시되었다. 두 번째 연구 내용인 ‘교육과정적 차원의 지역 대상 홍보체계’에서는 대학이 지역 대상 연계 교육 실천의 일환으로 관련된 정보자료를 매뉴얼화하거나 장애인 평생교육과정을 여러 형태로 실제 운영해야 한다는 방안이 제시되었으며, 이를 위해 수반되어야 할 조건도 함께 제시되었다. 다음으로, 세 번째 연구 내용인 ‘전문가 양성 차원의 지역 대상 홍보 체계’에서는 지역의 장애인 평생교육기관에서 종사하고 있는 전문가에게 전문역량상의 연수를 몇몇 유형으로 제공하는 방안이 제시되었으며, 이에 따른 수반 조건도 함께 제 시되었다. 또한, 이상의 세 가지 유형은 상호 연계적인 적용 관점에서 고찰되었다. 본 연구의 결과에서 제시된 바가 현실화되기 위하여 전제되어야 할 실행 원리를 논의하였 으며, 아울러 현행의 장애인 평생교육 분야에서 쟁점이 되고 있는 사안과 연구 결과를 상호 연계하여 논의함으로써 최종적으로 연구 결과가 어떤 맥락과 방향에서 활용되어야 하는가를 조망하였다.
