This research was tried to understand what meaning and essence of middle-aged women's art club activities are. For this research, analytical phenomenology research method was applied, the essence of experiences was focused and analytical phenomenology writing was done by existential investigation. First, participants obtain life leading energy during the experience life becomes dance in art club. Second, participants experience meeting of friendly relations so as to form close relations because of the art club activities. Third, participants experience themselves as expressive bodies because of the art club experience. Fourth, participants share aesthetic experiences through the art club activities. Through the results above, this research announces that middle-aged women's art club experience plays a reflection role looking back on themselves, not just finishes as one process. While participants talked about their own journey of life through the in-depth interview, they planed the future with the past life and the present experience. In addition, they recognized that they have a right to vent their feelings and pursue their desires in relations with themselves through the art club experience done continuously at the present, so they rediscovered the meaning of life by rediscovery of their identity.

본 연구는 중년여성의 예술동아리 활동을 통해 체험하는 의미와 본질은 무엇인지를 이해하고자 시도 되었다. 본 연구는 해석학적 현상학 연구방법을 적용하여 체험의 본질 에 집중하여 실존적 조사를 통해 해석학적 현상학 글쓰기를 하였다. 연구결과로는 첫째, 참여자들은 예술동아리에서 삶이 춤이 되는 체험을 하게 되면서 새로운 삶의 에너지를 얻는다. 둘째, 참여자들은 예술동아리 활동으로 인해 친밀한 관계 형성을 위한 친교 하는 만남을 체험한다. 셋째, 참여자들은 예술동아리 체험으로 인해 표현하는 몸으로서의 자신을 경험한다. 넷째, 참여자들은 예술동아리 활동을 통해 미적 체험을 나누는 경험을 한다. 이상의 연구 결과를 통해 중년여성의 예술동아리 체험이 하나의 과정으로만 끝나는 것이 아니라 자신을 뒤돌아보는 반추의 역할을 한다는 것을 알 수 있다. 참여자들이 심 층 인터뷰를 통해 스스로의 삶의 여정을 풀어 놓으면서 과거의 삶 그리고 현재의 경험 으로 미래를 설계하는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 또한 현재 지속적으로 이루어지고 있는 예술 동아리 체험을 통해 자기 자신과의 관계에서 스스로 감정을 발산하며 욕망을 추구할 권 리가 있음을 인식하게 되었고 그로인해 정체성의 재발견으로 삶의 의미 또한 재발견하게 되었다.
