This study is a career biography research on corporate education instructors, mainly focusing on the instructors hired from outside companies There hasn't been many researches on the corporate education instructors even though the quality of corporate education is the key to developing talents in a company. The corporate education instructors have majored in various fields and their ways entering the profession are various. Also, there is no standardized procedure to become a corporate education instructor. Also, the corporate instructors are divided into highly paid instructors group and low paid instructors group. The instructors mostly enter the profession by taking training courses to be an instructor. Since the nature of the profession is that the survival of an instructors' career depends on the educational satisfaction on their classes, they lead self-directed learnings to prepare for their classes and because of that, the profession values their social networks. This research utilized the four categories based on the model of Fritz Schütze's biographical procedural structure, which are institutionalized procedure and expected forms, the framework of the biographical act, the internal sufferings' paths and the changing process of a self identity. Corporate education instructors are suffering from the social expectations for their complete and satisfactory classes and personally they are developing their abilities as multi-players who can handle every tasks from the planning part of education to the marketing part of it. However, they are still living in instabilities coming from the unstable incomes and its reputation for being peddlers and are experiencing the identity crisis since they have to lead a life where they have to act different from their true selves.

본 연구는 기업교육강사 중 사외강사로 활동하고 있는 강사를 중심으로 한 직업생애사 연 구이다. 기업교육의 질이 기업체의 인재양성의 핵심임에도 불구하고 그 질을 담보하는 강사 에 대한 연구는 지금까지 많지 않다. 기업교육강사로 활동하는 사람들의 전공은 매우 다양 하며 그 진입 또한 다양한 경로로 이루어진다. 또한 기업교육강사를 준비하는 과정 또한 표 준화된 것은 없다. 또한 기업교육강사들 사이에서도 높은 강사료를 받는 집단과 낮은 강사 료를 받는 집단으로 구분된다. 대체로 기업교육강사들은 강사양성과정을 통해서 활동하게 된다. 강사의 특성상 높은 교육만족도라는 성과에 따라 생존이 좌우되므로 강의준비를 위해 자기주도적 학습을 매우 활발하게 전개하고 있으며 이를 위해 사회적 네트워크를 매우 공고 히 하고 있다. 본 연구에서의 Fritz Schütze의 생애이력의 과정적 구조의 모델, 즉 제도화된 진행 및 기대양식, 생애사적 행위의 틀, 내적 아픔의 진행경로, 그리고 자기정체성의 변화과 정에 입각하여 네 가지 범주를 사용하여 구분하였다. 기업교육강사들은 대체로 완전하고도 만족스러운 강의에 대한 사회적 기대에 시달리고 있으며 개인적으로는 교육의 기획에서 마 케팅까지의 업무를 잘 수행할 수 있는 멀티플레이어로 행위능력을 키워가고 있으나 여전히 불안정적인 수입과 보따리장수라는 불확실성을 안고 살아가고 있으며 개인의 본 모습과는 다른 연출하는 삶을 살아야 하는 이중성이라는 정체성을 경험하고 있다.
