This study is to find out the difference in response characteristics in PITR (Person in the Rain) paintings based on teenager's appearance satisfaction. The purpose of the Chapter was to check whether PITR can be used as an inspection tool to identify a teenager's appearance satisfaction. The study was conducted on a random sampling of 223 second graders from one middle school in Gyeonggi-do. The research tools used PITR picture tests and self-reporting appearance satisfaction measures. Data analysis performed frequency analysis and technical statistics for classification of research targets according to appearance satisfaction level. In relation to research issues, cross-analysis was conducted. The results of the study showed significant differences in firstly between low-looking and high-group PITR response characteristics, in the strength of wind and rain. Second, there were significant differences in the number of protective materials, presence of umbrellas, and facial expressions in response characteristics according to the stress response resource index. Third, there was a significant difference in the order of drawing in the difference of PDI response characteristics, the age of the person, the feeling of painting, the mood of the person, and what one needs. Through these studies, we could see the possibility of PITR being used as a tool to identify the level of youth's satisfaction.

본 연구는 청소년의 외모만족도에 따른 빗속의 사람(PITR: Person In The Rain) 그림의 반응특성 차이를 알아보고, PITR 이 청소년의 외모만족도를 파악할 수 있는 검사도구로 활용 가 능한지 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 경기도에 소재한 중학교 1개교의 2학년 223명을 임의표집 하였고, 연구도구는 PITR 그 림검사와 자기보고식 외모만족도 척도를 사용하였다. 자료 분석 은 외모만족도에 따른 연구대상 분류를 위하여 빈도분석과 기술 통계를 실시하였으며, 연구문제와 관련해서는 교차분석을 하였 다. 연구결과는 첫째 외모만족도가 낮은 집단과 높은 집단 간 PITR 반응특성에서 비와 사람의 접촉, 바람의 세기에서 유의미 한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 스트레스 대처자원 지표에 따른 반응특 성에서 직접 보호물 개수, 우산 유무, 얼굴표정에서 유의미한 차 이를 보였다. 셋째, PDI 반응특성에서 그린순서, 사람의 나이, 그 림의 느낌, 사람의 기분, 사람에게 필요한 것에서 유의미한 차이 를 보였다. 이러한 연구결과를 통하여 PITR이 청소년의 외모만 족도 수준을 파악하는 도구로써 활용 가능성을 알 수 있었다.
