The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between career calling and career decision level perceived by beauty college students. As a result of this study, the career decision level perceived by beauty college students was higher as the purpose and meaning of career calling were higher. In career decision-making, the higher the purpose/meaning and transcendental calling, the higher the level of career confidence. As pro-social orientation and transcendent callings of career calling increased, purpose/meaning decreased. Also, as the pro-social orientation of career calling increased, the level of career decision help needed increased. Based on these results, it was found that it is important to realize the purpose and meaning of the career in order to enhance the career decision-making of beauty college students. In conclusion, the results of this study suggest that college students who are going to decide on career will give up due to their inadequacy and dissatisfaction if they choose their major without considering the meaning or purpose of career. Therefore, it is necessary to recognize a career calling, which should be used to determine.

이 연구는 미용전공 대학생이 지각한 진로소명과 진로결정수준과의 관계에 대하여 알아보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구를 위하여 경기, 충북, 경남지역에 위치한 4년제 대학교에 재학 중인 미용전공 자를 선정하여 조사를 실시하였다. 연구의 결과로는 미용전공 대학생이 지각한 진로소명에서 직업 과 관련하여 진로의 목적과 의미가 높을수록 진로결정수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 진로결정에 있 어서 진로소명의 목적/의미와 초월적 부름이 높을수록 진로확신수준이 증가하고, 진로소명의 친사회 적 지향과 초월적 부름이 증가할수록 목적/의미는 감소하였다. 또한 진로소명의 친사회적지향이 증 가하면 진로결정도움 필요수준은 증가하였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 미용전공 대학생들의 진로결정 수준을 높이기 위해 해당 진로가 자신의 삶에 부여하는 목적과 의미를 깨닫는 것이 중요하다는 것 을 알 수 있었다. 이에 진로결정을 앞 둔 대학생들이 진로에 대한 의미나 목적을 생각하지 않고 전 공을 선택한다면 일에 대한 부적응과 불만족으로 진로를 포기하는 경우가 높아지므로 진로소명을 대한 인식이 필요하며 이를 통해 진로결정이 이루어져야 한다.
