This research is a paper that describes the history and growth development of academic societies on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Korean Advertising Society. We divided the history of advertising societies into ten-year cycles to organize the activities of the institutions and see how they have changed. First, in the early days of the advertising society, the founding process of the academic seminar or thesis, the advertising consultation body on cooperative activities of the academic society, and the publication of the newsletter of the Korea Advertising Association were organized separately. In the second semester of the advertising society, various special seminars were held and worked on to resolve various issues of the advertising community, and various activities were introduced in order to achieve the purpose of business association such as association with advertising society, publication of advertising studies, partnership with domestic association for advertising research book, and service association for members.

본 연구는 한국광고학회 30주년을 맞아 그동안 학회의 역사와 성장 발전에 대해 기술한 논 문이다. 광고학회의 역사를 10년 주기로 나누어 학회의 활동을 정리하고 어떻게 변화 해 갔는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 첫째 광고학회 초창기에는 학회의 창립과정, 학술세미나 논문의 발표 현황, 학회-업계 협력활동에 대한 광고상담체, 한국광고학회 소식지 발간등의 내용을 구분하여 정리하였고, 두 번째 광고학회 도입기에는 광고학회가 도약하면서 일본, 중국, 미국 등의 나라들 과 교류했던 학술대회 소개와 광고계의 산적해 있던 다양한 이슈들을 해결하기 위해 다양한 특 별 세미나를 개최하고 노력했던 과정 등을 다양하게 소개하여 정리하였으며, 마지막으로 광고학 회 성장기에서는 광고학회 학술대회와 광고학연구 발간, 광고연구서적 국내의 제학회와의 제휴, 회원을 위한 봉사 사업 등 학회의 목적을 달성하기 위한 다양한 활동들을 소개하였다.
