The termite damage on wooden architectural heritages has been increasing due to climate change and afforestation. In addition, introduction of invasive termite has been concerned because of rise of the minimum temperature and the increased trade volume of wooden materials. In this study, We review invasive termite species of which could possibly cause damage to the wooden architectural heritages and we discussed ways to reduce the damage by invasive termites.

최근 기후변화와 산림비옥화로 인해 목조문화재의 흰개미 피해가 증가하고 있으며, 향후 최저기온상 승과 교역량 증가로 인해 외래흰개미의 유입 또한 우려되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 유입 시 큰 피 해가 우려되는 외래흰개미 종이 어떤 것인지, 또 이들의 생태적 특성은 어떠한지에 대해 검토하고, 향후 목조문화재의 외래흰개미 피해를 저감할 수 있는 방안에 대해 논의하고자 하였다.
