The purpose of this study was to identify the factors affecting the drinking experience of middle school students based on gender differences. To this end, we analyzed the secondary data of a total of 2,012 middle school students in the 10 middle schools in Seoul using logistic regression analysis. The summary and suggestions are as follows. First, by gender, male students (43.5%) had a significantly higher drinking experience than female students (37.4%). Second, logistic regression analysis was conducted to find out the risk factors and protective factors that influenced the drinking experience. It was found to be a significant variable. On the other hand, in relation to drinking experience of male students, depression, hostility toward others, smoking experience, drinking perception, drug perception, and conflict with friends were found to have significant effects. As a result, it was confirmed that there were differences in factors affecting the drinking experience according to the gender of middle school students.

이 연구는 중학생의 음주 경험이 성별 차이에 따라 영향을 미치는 요인이 어떠한지 파악하 는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 서울지역 10개 중학교에 재학 중인 1학년, 2학년 중학생 총2,012명을 대상으로 이루어진 2차 자료를 분석하였고, 그 결과에 대한 요약은 다음과 같 다. 첫째, 성별로는 남학생(43.5%)의 음주 경험이 여학생(37.4%)에 비해 유의미하게 높게 나 타났고, 술에 취한 경험은 남학생(8.5%) 보다 여학생(5.9%)이 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 둘 째, 음주경험에 영향을 미치는 위험요인과 보호요인을 로지스틱 회귀분석을 통해 분석한 결 과, 여학생의 경우 위험요인 중에서는 우울감, 타인에 대한 적개심, 흡연경험, 음주인식, 약 물인식이 음주경험에 영향을 미치는 유의미한 변수로 나타났다. 반면, 남학생의 음주경험과 관련해서는 위험요인 중 우울감, 타인에 대한 적개심, 흡연경험, 음주인식, 약물인식, 친구와 의 갈등 등이 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변수로 나타났고, 보호요인 중에는 긍정적 자아인식이 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과 중학생의 성별에 따라 음주경험에 영향 을 미치는 요인에 차이가 있는 것이 확인되었고, 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 음주예방을 위한 실 천전략을 제언하였다.
