This study was conducted to analyze the local people's perceptions, attitudes, and supportive cooperative's relations to cultural events during the promotion activities of the Gwangju World Swimming Championships in 2019. A total of 250 questionnaires were used to achieve the purpose of this study, and the statistical technique used to derive the final result was a structural model equation. The conclusions from this study are as follows. First, the environmental factors of cultural events in the Gwangju World Swimming Championships 2019 have a positive effect on the perception of local residents. Second, local people's perception had a positive effect on attitude. Third, local people's perception did not have a positive effect on support cooperation intention. Fourth, the attitudes of local people had a positive effect on the willingness to support cooperation. In conclusion, mega sport events and cultural events were found to be in a win-win relationship, suggesting that they should go beyond simple sporting events to promote local culture, exchanges, regional promotions, and tourism content development.

본 연구는 2019광주세계수영선수권대회의 홍보를 위한 활동 중 문화행사에 대한 지역민의 인식, 태도 그리고 지지협력의사의 관계를 분석하고자 연구를 실시하였으며, 광주광역시민을 대상으로 조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 활용된 설문지는 총 250부이며, 최종결과를 도출하기 위해 활용된 통계기법은 구조모형 방정식을 활용하 였다. 본 연구를 통해 나타난 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2019광주세계수영선수권대회의 문화행사의 환경요인은 지역주 민의 인식에 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 지역민의 인식은 태도에 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 지역민의 인식은 지지협력의사에 정(+)적 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 지역민의 태도는 지지협력의사에 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 메가스포츠 이벤트와 문화행사는 상생관계에 있 는 것으로 나타났고 단순한 스포츠행사의 차원을 넘어 지역문화의 활성화, 교류의 장, 지역홍보, 관광콘텐츠 개발 등으로 발전해 나가야 할 것을 제시하고 있다.
