This study looks at the modern utilization plan through the Confucian educational philosophy as described in the Analects. Specifically, the literary and educational philosophy of Confucius can be applied to teaching Korean to foreigners by identifying how to teach in an effective way. Confucius placed emphasis on the literature function, including purifying the temper and teaching folk's custom , in the Analects and chose Ininsigyo (因人施敎), with learning according to the level, as a teaching method. This study focuses on this point among the Confucian teachings and on Confucian literature function and Ininsigyo teaching method. Then, this suggested the learning method according to the level with Korean the acquisition method of Korean while foreigners learn Korean purifying the temper and teaching folk's custom after researching Ininsigyo teaching method. Confucius said that people can purify their temper and reform folk’s custom through the poems of Shih Ching. Composers and singers need to compose, and the poems should be sung by people by selecting good lyrics and melody. The learning effect would be maximized when learners are taught according to the level (Ininsigyo). Thus, the effect would be doubled by considering the standards for textbook selection, subjects, and a learning method suited to the learners’ level when foreigners learn Korean . Moreover, the function of purifying the temper and teaching folk's custom would make the world overflow with compassion and morality. In addition, the beautiful songs and lyrics applied to teaching Korean to foreigners will gradually raise the status of the Korean language.

본고는, 『論語』 내용 중 孔子께서 행하신 교육관을 통해 현대적으로 활용 할 수 있는 방안을 살펴본 논문이다. 특히 외국인에게 한국어 교육시 어떻 게 가르치면 효과적인지를 공자의 문학관과 교육관을 활용하여 그 방법 을 모색해 본 것이다. 공자는 『논어』 에서 문학의 기능 중 성정의 순화와 풍교의 기능을 중시하 였으며, 교육의 방법은 수준별 학습에 따른 因人施敎의 방법을 선호하였 다. 본고는 『논어』 에 제시된 공자의 가르침 중 이 부분에 착안하여, 공자 의 문학적 기능을 살피는 동시에 인인시교의 교육법을 탐구한 후, 외국인 의 한국어 학습시 성정순화와 풍교의 기능을 습득하면서 인인시교에 따 른 한국어 습득 방법으로 수준별 학습법을 제시해 본 것이다. 공자가 『시경』 시 같은 훌륭한 시를 통해서 개인의 성정순화는 물론 풍속의 교화까 지도 이룰 수 있다고 하였기 때문이다. 그런 관계로 노랫말을 짓는 사람은 물론 노래를 부르는 사람도 좋은 가사 와 아름다운 곡조를 선택하여 창작하고 부르게 할 필요가 있다. 그리고 학 습자에게 가르칠 경우에는 인인시교 곧 학습자의 수준에 맞는 능력별 가 르침을 내려야 그 효과가 극대화될 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 외국인이 한국 어 학습시 교재의 선별 기준과 대상, 그리고 학습자의 수준에 맞는 학습법 등을 고려하여 가르치면 그 효과도 배가될 수 있다. 또한 성정순화와 풍교 의 기능까지 더해져 이 세상이 온정이 넘치고 인륜이 행해지는 아름다운 곳이 될 것이다. 아울러 외국인의 한국어 학습시 활용된 아름다운 노래와 그 노랫말로 인해 한국어의 위상은 날로 높아질 것이다.
