The purpose of this study is to find out how Donghak thought is revealed in the world of his life poems. The poet has walked the way of thinking to discover and recreate the language of life in our traditional thinking. Life City does not merely stay at the level of environmentalism, but emphasizes the harmony of nature beyond human-centered nature. Here nature does not simply stay as a material object but extends from the body of the self to the circulation of the earth and the universe. The purpose of this study is to confirm that the echoes of human, nature, and the universe in this life are all converged with the celestial ideas of dynamics. The contents of this study are as follows: First, life poetry does not stop at pity over the aging body, but returns to the original place of practice at the same time. Second, in life, the will for beauty works, in which we overcome the contradictions, restore the killing, restore the ambition, and release the aesthetic will. Third, the origin of life thoughts were placed in Oriental and Korean ancient history to find the vitality of enshrining and living. The results of this study firstly unravel the world of Tokyo's “coming soon”, revealing that life's poems through which the life is broken through the body convey the wave of life with the knowledge of the body and the wisdom of the body. Second, it suggests that the condensed aesthetic order is in line with the developmental direction of history, just like the organized dynamic movements that rose to save all lives. Third, the way to find the coolness of mankind is the way of thinking of life, expanding nature into the universe, and saying that the language of Taeguk and Palace was the language that stored the seeds of life.

이 연구의 목적은 김지하의 생명시 세계에서 동학사상이 어떻게 구체적으로 드러나는가를 찾아보는 데 있다. 시인은 우리 전통 사유 속에서 생명언어를 발굴하고 새롭게 만들어내는 사상의 길을 걸어온 바 있다. 생명시는 단순히 환경보호론의 차원에 머물지 않고 인간 중심의 자연을 넘어서서 자연의 조화를 강조한다. 여기서 자연은 단순히 물질적인 대상으로 머물지 않고 자아의 몸에서부터 지구와 우주의 순환으로까지 확대한다. 이러한 생명시에 나타난 인간과 자연, 그리고 우주의 울림이 동학의 시천주 사상으로 모두 수렴되는 것을 확인하고자 한다. 이 연구의 내용은 첫째, 생명시는 노화되면서 늙어가는 몸을 두고 연민으로 그치지 않고 존재의 인정과 동시에 실천의 원래 자리로 돌아가 생명을 말한다. 둘째, 생명에는 아름다움을 향한 의지가 작동하는 데 그 안에서 모순을 극복해내고 죽임을 살림으로 회복하고 원한을 해원하는 미적의지를 풀었다. 셋째, 생명사상의 연원을 동양고전과 우리고대사에 두면서 모심과 살림의 생명성을 찾아보았다. 이 연구의 결과는 첫째, 몸을 통해 생명성을 깨친 생명시는 몸으로의 깨달음, 몸이 밝힌 지혜로 생명의 파동을 전하는 메시지임을 밝히면서 동경대전의 ‘오심즉여심’의 세계를 풀어냈다. 둘째, 모든 생명을 살리고자 일어선 조직적인 동학운동처럼 응축된 미적질서는 역사의 발전방향과 함께 하는 것임을 제시하였다. 셋째, 인류시원을 찾아가는 길이 생명사유의 길이며 자연을 우주로 확장시키고 태극과 궁궁의 언어가 생명의 씨앗을 저장한 언어임을 밝혔다.
