The purpose of this study is to investigate the contents and structure of the experiences of short - term service officers in reemployment process by using phenomenological research methods among qualitative research methods. For this study, seven short - term service officers were selected as research participants and data were collected through in - depth interviews. The collected data were analyzed based on the five-step procedure presented by Giorgi (1975, 2012). As the result of the analysis, 76 semantic units, 12 subcomponents (revealed topics) and 5 components (essential topics) were derived. The results of the study are as follows. As for the first research problem, the experiences of the short-term service officer in the re-employment process are as follows: ‘difficulty of re-employment’, ‘a pity about the past time’, ‘supportive factor in re-employment process’, ‘new start’. The participants came to the outside world after finishing the difficult and difficult military life. But The participants were faced with another difficulty as they became aware that the outside world is an another competitive society and employment reality different from military society. In a difficult and difficult reemployment process, they were greeted with moments when they missed the military days they had known hard times. As I realized that things that I did not think as the benefits at the time were benefits, I'm sorry for now. On one hand participants were able to gain strength and overcome the re - employment process through military-related factors such as military and officer experience, personal factors which are the products obtained through personal characteristics and individual experiences, social support factors such as economic and psychological support of parents, friends and colleagues. They came to realize that if they do not give up and try hard, they can get the good results they want. In the end, the researchers started to pursue the life they wanted through re-employment, and they were satisfied with life. In relation to the second research problem, the structure of the experiences of short - term service officer in the re - employment process shows that ‘difficulty of re-employment’ and ‘a pity about the past time’ affect each other. Next, the re-employment process was in the order of 'difficulty of re-employment', 'realization in reemployment process', 'new start'. Lastly, 'supportive factors in the re - employment process' are the factors influencing the re - employment process, and the driving force for short-term service officers to overcome the harsh re-employment process and succeed in re-employment. The purpose of this study is to understand the difficulties of short-term service officers in re-employment process and is expected to be a basic data for psychological helping them through appropriate counseling intervention by investigating the content and structure of the short-term service officer's experience in the re-employment process.

본 연구의 목적은 질적 연구 방법 중 현상학적 연구 방법을 활용하여 단기복무 장교가 재취업 과정에서 겪은 경험의 내용과 구조를 알아보는데 있다. 연구를 위해 단기복무 장교 7명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 Giorgi(1975, 2012)가 제시한 5단계 절차를 토대로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 76개의 의미단위와 12개의 하 위구성요소(드러난 주제), 5개의 구성요소(본질적 주제)로 도출되었다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫 번째 연구 문제와 관련하여 살펴보면 단기복무 장교가 재취업 과정에서 겪은 경험 은 ‘재취업의 어려움’, ‘과거 시절의 아쉬움’, ‘재취업 과정에서의 지지적 요인’, ‘재취업 과정 에서의 깨달음’, ‘새로운 시작’으로 파악되었다. 두 번째 연구 문제와 관련하여 단기복무 장 교가 재취업 과정에서 겪은 경험의 구조를 살펴보면, ‘재취업의 어려움’과 ‘과거 시절의 아쉬 움’은 서로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 재취업 과정은 ‘재취업의 어려움’, ‘재 취업 과정에서의 깨달음’, ‘새로운 시작’ 순으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 ‘재취업 과정에서의 지 지적 요인’은 재취업 과정에 영향을 미치는 요인으로, 단기복무 장교들이 험난한 재취업 과 정을 극복하고 재취업에 성공하게 하는 원동력인 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 단기복무 장 교가 재취업 과정에서 겪은 경험의 내용과 구조를 알아봄으로써 단기복무 장교들이 재취업 과정에서 겪는 어려움을 이해하고, 적절한 상담 개입을 통해 그들을 도울 방안을 마련하는 기초 자료가 될 것으로 보인다.
