Today the Korean Churches accomplish active diakonia work on the basis of denomination. The observance of love and care for socially weak and the necessity of caring for them are in the center of attention. Moreover the diakonical activity of Korean Churches can further the growth of the churches thous avoiding the danger of losing the identity of diakonia which would undermine the character of churches by beginning a competition among local communities. Diakonia however necessities a cooperation in solidarity to achieve the unity of churches by diakonical activities on the basis of the Gospel of the Jesus Christ which has always been impressively manifested in the history of christianity. In this need, this paper depicts a comprehensive analysis of the theological principles and of specific practises of the international churches beyond certain regions. The challenges for the Korean Churches in the further make it necessary to examine all this. This implies that many denominations ought to creat a general identity for there diakonical actions which are the essence of church. Economic solidarity, after all, is the worldly revolution of protestant churches in particular in this world. By cooperating in this world the Korean Churches will be the unified organism. Therefore, in the future, Korean churches should pay attention to social and structural problems for the care of diakonia. In other words, the diakonical activities must to go beyond the dimension of the individual help, if they want to fight aginst the structure of unjust power in society. By taking measures that are corresponding to God's expensive grace this diakonical activities may further reconciliation and peace in the world. To achieve all this the diakonical activities of the Korean Churches ought to from a common and mutual solidarity which must adjust to different conditions of regions communities and world's churches.

오늘날 한국교회들은 교파와 교단을 막론하고 사회적 약자들에 대한 관심과 돌봄 의 필요성을 자각하면서 적극적으로 돌봄활동을 수행해오고 있다. 그런데 교회의 디 아코니아 돌봄활동이 개 교회 중심의 폐쇄성을 가지고 교회성장을 위한 수단으로 작 용할 수 있으며, 디아코니아고유의 정체성을 잃게 되어 교회의 본질을 훼손하게 되며, 지역교회 간에, 교단과 교파 간에 경쟁적으로 실천하는 현상들로 인해 교회일치를 파 괴하는 결과를 가져올 수도 있다. 그러나 기독교전통에 나타난 디아코니아는 예수의 복음에 기초한 디아코니아활동을 통해 교회의 일치를 이루기 위해 연대하는 협동을 필요로 한다. 이러한 필요성에서 본 논문은 지역을 넘어서는 세계교회들의 에큐메니칼 디아코니 아에 대한 신학적-정책들과 구체적인 실천들을 전승사적으로 분석한 후, 앞으로 한국 교회의 에큐메니칼 디아코니아를 위한 통찰과 그 방향성을 얻고자 함이다. 즉, 한국 개신교 가운데 수많은 봉사의 주체들이 교회의 본질로서 복음의 실천인 디아코니아활 동에 대한 정체성을 확립하며, 에큐메니칼적으로 연대하며, 교회의 하나 됨을 위해 노 력을 기울이고자 함이다. 그로써 개신교가 수행하는 디아코니아활동이 교단과 교파들을 그리스도 몸의 지체들로서 서로를 인정하며, 세상에서 서로 함께 협동적으로 봉사 함으로써 궁극적으로 그리스도의 한 몸을 이루는 교회일치의 지평을 넓혀나가며, 한 국교회와 사회를 위해 긍정적인 역할을 수행할 수 있도록 함이다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 얻어진 통찰은 한국교회들이 디아코니아 돌봄을 위해 고유 한 정체성을 가지고 사회구조적인 문제들까지도 관심을 가져야 하는 인식과 정당성을 얻었다. 즉, 교회의 디아코니아활동은 개인 돌봄의 차원을 넘어서 사회의 불의한 권력 구조에 맞서 사회적 약자들을 돌봐야 한다. 이러한 디아코니아활동이 값비싼 은총에 상응하는 행동으로 정의로운 화해와 평화를 이룩할 수 있음을 설득력 있게 도출하였 다. 이를 위해 한국교회의 디아코니아활동 가운데 놓인 도전과 과제는 지역과 사회에 서 사안에 따라 개인적, 교회적, 교단적 그리고 교파연합 등의 차원에서 연대적으로 에큐메니칼 디아코니아를 수행해야하며, 나아가 세계교회들과 일치를 위해 연대하는 디아코니아활동 요청에 응답하는 방향으로 나가야 하는 것이다.
