The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the EBDT predicts the internalization and externalization problems of university students and to investigate the characteristics of picture response according to internalizing and externalizing problem behaviors. A survey was conducted on college students in universities in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Daejeon, and a total of 210 copies were used. After examining the correlation between EBDT sub factors and internalization and externalization variables, we examined the predictive power of EBDT for emotional behavior problems through multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the EBDT significantly predicted the emotional behavior problems of college students. In terms of sub factors, internal atrophy predicts internalization problems and hostile expression predicts externalization problems and the mix was revealed. As a characteristic of the picture response, the powerless tree image showed a significant correlation in both internalization and externalization variables. The results of this study are expected to be the basis for the use of projective drawing test, as well as the self-reporting questionnaire in assessing the emotional behavioral problems and for the establishment of treatment direction that suits individual characteristics.

본 연구는 청소년 정서행동 그림검사(EBDT)가 대학생의 내재화 및 외현화 문제를 예측하는지 알아보고 내재화 및 외현화 문제행동에 따른 그림반응의 특성이 어떠한지 살펴보고자 하였다. 서울, 경기 및 대전 소재 대학에 재학 중인 대학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 후 총 210부를 연구 자료로 활용하였다. EBDT 의 4가지 하위요인과 내재화 및 외현화 변인과의 상관관계를 알아본 뒤, 중다회귀분석을 통하여 정서행동문 제에 대한 EBDT의 예측력을 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, 청소년 정서행동 그림검사(EBDT)는 대학생의 정서행동 문제를 유의하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 하위요인별로 살펴보면 내면적 위축이 내재화 문제를, 적대적 표출이 외현화 문제를 예측하는 것으로 나타났으며 내면적 위축과 적대적 표출이 내재화 및 외현화 총점 모두에서 유의한 예측변수로 나타나면서 내재화와 외현화 문제의 혼재 양상을 드러냈다. 그림반응의 특성으 로는 ‘힘없는 나무’ 이미지가 내재화 및 외현화 변인 모두에서 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 본 연구의 결과는 상담현장에서 대학생의 정서행동문제를 평가하는 데 있어 기존의 자기보고식 설문지와 더불어 투사그림검 사의 활용가능성을 알아보고 개인의 특성에 맞는 치료방향을 설정하는 데 있어 활용도 높은 기초자료가 될 것으로 기대된다.
