This thesis tries to justify that freedom is only in relations, and that what makes the freedom in relations possible is affinity. To do it, This thesis, firstly, will analyze histories of affinity concept briefly, and through such analysis it will deal with reasons why the affinity cannot help being problems to modern subjective philosophy. And then it will analyze critically Kant s philosophy which dealt with the freedom of will and the justification of it in depth. By dong so, it will insist that the reason why the freedom of will cannot help being impotent to Kant is because he negated the affinity which was presupposition of relations in order to internalize freedom into subjectivity. At last it will argue that the freedom of will which Adorno tries to advocate is the freedom which is possible only in relations, and that ground of it is affinity. As Impulse and reason have affinity, they interact each other, and this interaction in their non-identical strain makes the will possible. In the sense of interaction of impulse and reason, the will, firstly, is the force of reason that makes reason rational, and second, is the force of reason through which reason moves the body, so that it can make practical action in the empirical world. Therefore this thesis will argue that the affinity is conditions that reason relates with the empirical world and makes reason practical, so the freedom of human will is also the freedom in relations to which the will belongs.

본 논문은 자유가 관계 속에서의 자유이며, 그러한 자유를 가능하게 하는 것이 유사성이라는 것을 정당화하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 먼저, 유사성 개념의 역사를 간략하게 분석함으로써, 유사성이 왜 형식적 논리에 기초해서 자신의 철학사상을 체계화한 철학자들의 아킬레스건이 될 수밖에 없었는지를 다룰 것이다. 그런 다음 본 논문은 의지의 자유와 그것의 정당화를 가장 깊이 있게 다루었던 칸트 실천철학을 비판적으로 분석함으로써, 칸트에게 의지의 자유가 현실의 관계 속에서 작용할 수 없을 만큼 무기력하게 될 수밖에 없는 이유가 자유를 주관성 속으로 내면화하기 위해 관계의 전제인 유사성을 부정하기때문이라고 주장한다. 이어서 아도르노의 의지 개념을 분석함으로써, 자유 의지가 관계 속에서 실행되도록 하는 것이 유사성이고, 이러한 유사성이 아도르노가 계몽철학을 비판하기 위한 근거이자 무기이며, 자신의 비동일성 철학의 핵심이라고 주장한다. 아도르노에게충동과 이성이 유사성을 가지기 때문에 상호작용하며, 이러한 비동일적 긴장 속에서의 상호작용을 통해 의지가 가능하게 된다. 그러므로 충동과 이성의 상호작용으로서의 의지는첫째, 이성이 이성적이도록 하는 이성의 힘이며, 둘째 이성이 몸을 움직이도록 하는, 즉경험세계의 현실에 실천적 행위를 할 수 있도록 하는 이성의 힘이라는 이중적 성격을 가진다. 이러한 분석을 근거로 본 논문은 거부할 수 없는 유사성이 인간 이성이 경험세계와 관계하고 이성이 실천적이기 위한 조건이며, 그런 한에서 인간의 의지의 자유도 의지가 실행되는 세계를 벗어날 수 없는 관계 속에서의 자유임을 논증하고자 한다.
