This study was developed to evaluate the effectiveness of police science field training program regarding to student’s career identity and job consciousness. To this end, the program was designed to offer them with collaborating safety from 8 May 2018 to 26 October 2018 and 65 hours in total, and a quasi-experimental design was employed to evaluate the difference between pre-test and post-test scores of participants of both experimental group(n=26) and control group(n=25) on their field training. Also, pre-test and follow-up test scores were compared to confirm whether the effect was sustained. The results showed that the pre-post difference in career identity was statistically significant for experimental group participants(t=-3.629, p=.001). While the difference in job consciousness was not significant for experimental group but control group showed significant difference. In conclusion, we discussed that the police science field training program developing job career and consciousness need to be provided regularly for university students to acquire the essential job skills.

본 연구는 경찰행정학 전공의 현장실습 프로그램이 가지는 교육적 효과성을 평가하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해, 경찰행정학 전공의 현장실습 프로그램은 2018년 5월 8일부터 2018년 10월 26일까지 총 65시간의 협력치안활동을 수행하였다. 연구방법으로는 비동일유사실험설계 방법을 사용하였다. 사전사후검증의 방식으로 경찰행정 전공학생들의 진로정체감을 분석한 결과, 실험집단(n=26)은 사전-사후의 차이가 유의하였고(t=-3.629, p=.001), 통제집단(n=25)에서는 진로정체감이 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다(t=1.061, p=.299). 그리고 직업의식의 경우에는 실험집단은 사전-사후의 점수차이는 크게 없었으나(t=-1.312, p=.201), 통제집단에서는 오히려 직업의식이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다(t=2.215, p=.037). 결론에서는 본 연구에서 경찰행정전공 학생들의 진로정체감과 직업소명의식을 향상시키는데 효과적이라고 판단되는 경찰행정학 전공의 현장실습교육 프로그램을 정기적으로 제공하여 경찰행정학 전공 학생들이 경찰관으로서 필요한 실무능력을 갖출 수 있도록 하는 등 경찰행정학 전공 교육의 새로운 방향을 논의하였다.
