It say that a rice is a meaning which fruits richly and "Hononinigi" is "穀霊" in accepted theory. Therefore, he would choose not a stone but the flower as a bride. However, It mean that the result of selection had given up a long life, and it commits it as the short-lived origin to the imperial family who is posterity. The marriage myth of Tenson(天孫) is told as the origin, and it is well-informed also about the meaning of the preface of "Kojiki".
