Korean education has made a great contribution to the modernization and high level of knowledge society in a short period of time and has helped to improve the quality of life of the people. However, the process of cramming or indoctrinating and transmissive education resulted in a decrease in the happiness of life and beared success oriented lifestyle and inhumanity. Therefore this study seeks to change this kind of social pathology and improve the life of Korean people through village(maeul) ministry and village school as alternatives. The ministry of the village can be carried out only after the complete ecclesiastical conversion, the formation of the learning ecosystem and the expansion of social capital. The church is not merely constrained to be a building and yet a people of the kingdom of God, and it extends to the expansion of the kingdom of God in the towns, not the narrow concept of the ark of salvation. Every person needs a whole village to grow healthy and become a member of society. Therefore, the village church should be the center point of the church so that the family, the church, and the village form a healthy learning ecosystem so that children and adults of all villages can establish mutual connection, mutual communication and mutual solidarity. The village church should run the village school so that the kingdom of God can be realized in the whole life by communicating and participating in the general life of the village people. It is necessary for the village church to take the initiative in finding out what can be done through communal meals, co-parenting, and joint labor. It is important to communicate, collaborate and cooperate closely with the villagers. Through this, it is necessary to gain trust and respect, which is called social capital. In addition, the core role of the village church is to have a pastor who is devoted to evangelism and to be a village person, as God loves the world and has given his son a life of sacrifice and love do. The church in village eventually has to live a healthy, passionate, biblical community of faith in the church and live a life of evangelical and missional life in harmony with the village community as a community of living that practices the truths taught through the Word and study outside the church. And the ministry in the village is not only useful for rural villages but also for the urban cities that have lots of apartments as well. The ministry of the Hannam First Church, Hongdong Village, Baleunnuri, and Grace Community were introduced and evaluated as illustrations. Village ministry and village school are the main alternatives for the problems of Korean society and that they will contribute to the vacant space of Korean education through warm communication, love, caring and caring, and help people who are in desperate needs.

한국교육은 짧은 시간에 현대화와 지식사회를 이루는 데에 지대한 공헌을 하였고 국민 삶의 질을 높이는데 일조하였다. 그러나 숙고의 과정과 개성을 무시한 주입식/전달주의식 교육은 삶의 전반에 대한 행복감 저하를 야기했고 인간성을 상실한 성공지상주의를 낳았다. 이러한 사회병리현상의 변화와 개선을 위하여 본 연구는 마을목회와 마을학교를 대안으로 제시한다. 마을목회는 온전한 교회론적 회심, 학습생태계 형성과 신뢰, 상호성, 호혜성, 공유, 헌신과 같은 사회적 자본의 확충이 근간이 되어야 수행할 수 있다. 교회는 하나님나라의 백성이며 마을 속에서 하나님의 나라를 확장해나가야 하며 결코 구원의 방주라는 축소적 개념에 머물러서는 안됨을 다루었다. 한 사람이 건강하게 성장하여 사회의 일원이 되려면 온 마을사람이 필요하다. 그러기에 가정, 교회, 마을이 건강한 학습생태계를 이루어 모든 마을사람들의 어린이와 어른이 상호연결, 상호소통, 상호연대하는 구조가 될 수 있도록 마을교회가 구심점이 되어 사역해야 한다. 무엇보다 마을교회는 마을사람들의 전반적인 삶에 관심을 갖고 소통하고 참여함으로써 삶 전체 속에서 하나님의 나라가 구현될 수 있도록 마을학교를 운영해야 할 것이다. 공동식사, 공동육아, 공동노동 등을 통하여 더불어 할 수 있는 일들을 찾아내고 마을교회가 마을목회를 통해 이를 솔선할 필요가 있다. 이를 위하여 마을사람들과 긴밀히 사귀고, 소통하고 협력하는 것이 중요하다. 이를 통해 원활한 소통을 통해 마을사람들의 신뢰와 존경을 얻을 필요가 있으며 이를 사회적 자본이라 부른다. 또한 마을교회의 핵심적 역할은 담임목사에게 있으며 마을사람들을 전도의 대상으로만 보는 것에서 벗어나 자신도 마을사람이 되어 하나님이 세상을 사랑하시어 아들을 주신 것처럼, 마을로 들어가 희생과 사랑의 삶을 살아가야 한다. 교회는 결국 교회당 안에서는 건강하고 열정적이며 성경적인 신앙공동체가 되고 교회당 밖에서는 말씀과 공부를 통하여 배운 진리를 실천하는 생활공동체로서 마을사람과 어우러져 복음적 삶, 선교적 삶을 추구해야 한다. 그리고 마을목회는 농어산촌에서만 유용한 목회가 아니라 아파트가 즐비한 도시에서도 가능하며 필요한 것임을 다루었고 한남제일교회, 홍동마을, 밝은누리, 은혜공동체 등과 같은 실례를 살펴보았다. 마을목회와 마을학교는 한국교육의 빈공간 즉 따뜻한 소통과 사랑과 배려와 보살핌과 같은 필요를 채워주며 공교육에서 다하기 모든 사람이 살만한 마을을 만드는 데에 일조할 것이라는 것이 본 연구의 핵심이다.
