In the present study, we examined the current status of the Japanese language proficiency test (JLPT) mobile app in a real set up. Currently available JLPT mobile apps tend to have overlapping questions for each app, and also do not properly provide feedback on users' requests common. For example in particular, the apps developed in Korea focus on word learning, but their applications to address practical questions are very scarce. In this regard, we interviewed a variety of people related with the app, such as professional publishers, academicians, mobile app development experts, professors and Japanese students and found that there is a lack of full-scale Japanese language education smart learning. The content of the interview included (i) the necessity of having a core prototype in the mobile app which is currently missing, and (ii) design and function of the app; this is because the feedback function of the interaction is very much necessary when the school and institution jointly produce and utilize the content of the app. Needless to say, the teaching and learning design, and development of the most appropriate service method in connection with the curriculum are required. We believe the current research on the development smart mobile learning apps with feedback functionality is essential for next generation Japanese language education. Such study, although is somewhat late compared to other foreign language fields, is avant-garde in terms of convergence of language education and ICT.

본고는 본격적인 일본어교육 스마트러닝이 부족한 현실에서 학습보조도구로서 일본어능력시험 모바일앱에 관한 현황을 파악하고, 앞으로의 설계･개발에 요구되는 디자인과 기능에 대해 고찰한 것이다. 현재 공개되어 있는 일본어능력시험 모바일앱은 각각의 앱마다 문제들이 중복되는 경향이 있으며 피드백이 제대로 이루어지지 않고 있다는 문제가 있다. 특히 한국에서 개발된 앱은 단어 학습에 치우쳐 있어, 실전문제 앱은 매우 부족하다고 할 수 있다. 이에 본격적인 모바일앱 개발을 위해 전문출판사･학원, 모바일앱 개발전문가, 대학교수, 학습자 그룹을 대상으로 인터뷰 조사를 실시하였으며 그 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. (1)일본어능력시험 앱의 현황과 관련해서는 스마트러닝 모바일앱이 부족한 현실에서 우선적으로 핵심적인 프로토타입의 개발이 필요하다고 할 수 있다. (2)디자인･기능과 관련해서는 학교와 기관이 공동으로 콘텐츠를 제작･활용하면서 상호작용의 피드백 기능이 가장 많이 요구되므로, 교육과정과 연계하여 가장 적절한 서비스 방식의 교수학습설계와 개발이 요구된다. 본고와 같은 차세대 일본어교육의 스마트러닝 모바일앱 구축과 피드백에 관한 연구는 다른 외국어 분야에 비교해 다소 늦었지만, 언어교육과 ICT의 융복합이라는 측면에서 필수적이고 전위적인 연구라고 할 수 있을 것이다.
