Ezra Pound and Dante Alighieri are poets who emphasize the pursuit of the Absolute Good by using symbols such as a hell. Pound depicts London as the modern hell and denounces both the corruption of modern civilization and the immoral life of our contemporaries; On the other hand, Dante makes a hell based on the Holy Bible, explaining the hell of afterlife.
