A Study on the perception of Baby Boomer generation on Characteristics of Selecting a newly-married house for Eco generation

The purpose of this study is to identify the perception of the baby boomer generation when choosing the newly-married house for the eco generation children. Eco generation is the children generation of baby boomers. Currently, the eco generation has reached the age of marriage. Accordingly, the housing market is focusing on the eco generation. Data from questionnaires were used for analysis. Factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted using SPSS 18.0. The factors that baby boomer consider importantly when they choose newly-married house for eco generation are as follows. First, regional status is the most important factor. Second, the next important factor is economic strength. Third is family residence area factor. Fourthly important factor is residence stability and fifth is residential location. This study is meaningful in that it analyzed the factors which baby boomer generation considers when they choose the newly-married house of their children – eco generation. The findings of the empirical analysis can be helpful for domestic housing policy direction and supply strategy.
