The purpose of this research is to diagnose the Child care Substitute Teacher Program and to search for development direction of the project through the actual condition of Child care Substitute Teacher Program and perception of director and teacher on the Child care Substitute Teacher Program's system. For the purpose of research, a questionnaire survey was conducted for a total of 811 people including 221 child care center directors and 590 teachers, from C City, Ch City, and J City. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, cross tabulation, and chi verification using the SPSS 21.0 program. The results are as follows. First, the usage rate of Child care Substitute Teacher Program varied among different locations, type of child care center, number of faculty and staff, teacher's qualification type, teacher's childcare career, and years of service. Secondly, in connection with the recognition of the Child care Substitute Teacher Program, a significant difference between directors and teachers appeared regarding the necessity, working hours, desired number of days of support, desired qualities, expected effects, and administrative satisfaction and dissatisfaction of the Child care Substitute Teacher Program's operation system.

본 연구는 2009년 시범사업으로 시작된 대체교사 지원사업 제도를 진단하고 향후 방향을 모색 하기 위한 기초연구로 3개시 어린이집 원장 221명, 교사 590명, 총 811명을 대상으로 원장과 교사 의 배경별 대체교사 지원사업 이용여부, 대체교사 지원사업에 대한 원장과 교사의 인식, 대체교사 지원사업 이용 경험이 있는 원장과 교사의 인식, 대체교사 지원사업을 이용해보지 않은 원장과 교 사의 대체교사 지원사업 이용 실태와 인식을 조사하였다. 연구결과, 원장과 특히 교사를 대상으로 대체교사 지원사업에 대한 적극적 안내가 필요하며, 대체교사 지원 수요에 비하여 대체교사 지원 이 부족한 것으로 나타나 대체교사 인력확충이 필요한 것으로 판단된다. 또한 보육교사의 자유로 운 연차사용 환경조성과 이에 대한 사회적 인식의 변화와 제도적 뒷받침이 필요함을 알 수 있다.
