The terminology of Kkondae culture can be easily seen in every communication between people but people tend to understand the concept on their own because the concept has not been established properly. Therefore it is needed to understand the essentiality of various discourse structures included in the concept of Kkondae for social discussion on the concept. This study analyzed in-depth interviews with members of society exposed to the Kkondae culture. Kkondae is complicatedly involved in the fields of class, generation, information and exchange ‘structurally’ linked to power as well as the intimacy between people involved in exchanging emotional messages ‘consciously’ and the symbolism in the process of communicating contents. The social effects of two different sides for this synchronic culture helped expand the system of discours on conflict thorough diachronic cultural trend changes based on the ideas of modernism and postmodernism. For sociological discussion on Kkondae, it is important to understand the original meaning of conflicting values in communication. Furthermore, it is needed to keep restructuring the communication structure of members of society in order to maintain the virtuous circulation structure of coexistence through cultural exchange.

꼰대**문화는 사람들 사이에서 이루어지는 언어를 통한 상호작용 속에 포함되어 있 는 사회적 용어이지만, 실제 그들이 인식하고 있는 개념은 통일되어 있지 않고, 개념상 차이가 존재한다. 따라서 사람들이 이 새로운 문화에 대한 더 명확한 사회적 논의를 시 도하기 위해서는 그 개념에 포함되어 있는 다양한 담론구조의 본질에 대해서 고찰해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 이와 관련한 내용을 본격적으로 살펴보기 위해 꼰대문화에 노출된 사회구성원들을 대상으로 심층면접을 통해 분석을 진행했다. 꼰대는 ‘구조적’으로 권력 과 연계된 계층, 세대, 정보, 교환관계의 하위부문과 ‘의식적’ 수준에서 감정과 관련하여 메시지를 주고받는 당사자 간 친밀성, 콘텐츠 전달과정의 상징 등이 복잡하게 연계되어 있다. 그리고 이 상반되는 공시적 문화의 사회적 영향력은 모더니즘 및 포스트모더니즘 사상에 근거를 둔 통시적 문화 트렌드의 변화과정을 통해 갈등관계의 담론체계로 확대 되었다. 본격적인 꼰대문화의 사회학적 논의를 위해서는 상반되는 소통가치에 대한 본 원적 의미에 대해서 이해할 수 있어야 한다. 이제 문화교류를 통한 공존문화의 선순환구 조가 유지될 수 있도록 사회구성원들의 지속적인 소통구조의 재구조화 작업이 이루어져 야 할 것이다.
