In the field of fashion, sustainable fashion products require the introduction of active concepts. The purpose of this study is to propose a fashion product that uses the concept of sustainability as a tool and motive. We tried to propose the direction of fashion product development by using motif in sustainable Korean image and using sustainable 3D printing technology. This study is a combination of literature and interview research. The study examined the methods of expressing sustainable Korean images through previous researches and Korean image specialist books, explored the sustainability of 3D printing and reclassified the appearance of 3D printing fashion products through previous researches. Based on the theoretical study, This study tried to find direction through the in - depth interviews of fashion experts. As a result of this study, there were natural friendly realistic expression, metaphorical expression of natural environment, pattern of natural motif, and contemplative expression of natural philosophy. 3D printing technology has included the concept of sustainable development in the environmental, economic and social spheres. Through in-depth interviews of fashion professionals, the direction of sustainable Korean 3D printing fashion products is to integrate different technologies of the 4th industrial revolution to complement the 3D printing technology, to demand contemporary modern expression of Korean design, to use real-life 3D printing fashion products development, and to creative design development of sustainable fashion products.

패션 분야에서의 지속가능한 패션 제품은 관심에 비해 소극적 개념으로 접근되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 지속가능성의 개념을 도구와 모티브로 활용한 패션제품을 제안하고자 하였으며, 한국적 이미지에서 모티프를 활용하고 3D 프린팅기술을 도구로 이용하였다. 본 연구는 문헌연구와 실증적 연구를 병행하였다. 선행연구와 한국적 이미지 전문 서적을 통해 지속가능 한국적 이미지 표현 방법을 고찰하였으며 3D 프린팅의 지속가능성을 탐구하고 선행연구들을 통하여 3D 프린팅 패션 제품의 외형을 재분류하였다. 앞의 이론적 연구를 토대로 패션 전문가의 실증적 심층 면접을 통하여 방향성을 모색하고자 하였다. 지속가능 한국적 이미지 표현 방법에는 자연 친화 사실적 표현, 자연 환경의 은유적 표현, 자연 모티프의 패턴화, 자연 철학의 사유적 표현이 있었다. 3D 프린팅 기술은 환경적, 경제적, 사회적 분야에 걸쳐 지속가능 발전의 개념을 담고 있었다. 패션 전문가의 심층 면접을 통하여 지속가능 한국적 3D 프린팅 패션 제품의 방향은 3D 프린팅 기술을 보완하기 위해 4차 산업혁명의 다른 기술 융합, 동시대적인 한국적 디자인의 현대적 표현성 요구, 실생활에 사용가능한 3D 프린팅 패션 제품 개발, 지속가능 패션 제품의 창의적 디자인 개발이 제시되었다. 본 연구는 지속가능한 패션 제품을 개발할 때 지속가능성의 개념을 더욱 적극적이고 폭넓게 활용할 수 있는 개발 방향을 제시할 것으로 기대한다.
