In my works, images that surface through paintings are based on the notion of consciousness, but at the same time they contain the actuality of daily life. Paintings in my exhibition entitled Unfamiliar Maps; Multiple Perspectives are reworked in the forms of digital prints and videos, continuing to produce new meanings not found in the paintings. First, when reworking from painting to digital printing, meaning is expanded in relation to images, concrete objects, subjective spaces and explanations. In the video works, actual objects and virtual images are combined organically, and the real and virtual areas cross each other. The link between the objects is also reinforced by the story. Reworking from a painting to an image led to a formative idea which remained in the painting of actual verifiable objects and escaped from the subjective inner area to move to reality and virtual areas through time. In an actual exhibition, movements between media proceeds in an integrated manner, and the viewer experiences an expansion of meaning through consciousness. This type of work reflects the researchers' view of the world as a state of fragmented images and emphasizes the relationship context of reality by transforming everyday experiences into repetitive play through work.

연구자의 작품에서 회화작업을 통해 표면화된 이미지들은 의식 속의 관념에 근거하고 있지만 동시에 일 상의 실제성을 내포하고 있다. Unfamiliar Maps; Multiple Perspectives전에서 회화는 디지털 프린트, 영 상의 순서로 재작업되면서 회화에서 확인되지 못했던 새로운 의미들을 계속해서 산출해 낸다. 먼저 회화 에서 디지털 프린트로의 재작업에서는 이미지와 구체적 사물, 주관적 공간과 설명도의 관계로 의미가 확 장된다. 영상작업에서는 현실의 사물과 가상의 이미지들이 유기적으로 결합하며 실제 영역과 가상 영역 이 상호교차하게 된다. 그리고 대상들 간의 연결고리는 스토리에 의해 더욱 공고해진다. 회화에서 영상 으로의 재작업은 한 그림 안에 머물러있던 조형화된 관념을 실제 확인 가능한 사물로 이끌어 내며 주관 적 내면의 영역에서 탈출하여 실재하는 현실과 가상의 영역을 수시로 이동할 수 있게 하였다. 실제 전시 에서 매체 간의 이동은 상호 통합적으로 진행되며 이를 통해 관객은 의미가 확장함을 의식 속에서 체험 하게 된다. 이러한 작업방식은 일상을 파편화된 이미지들의 상태로 보는 연구자의 세계관을 반영하며 작 업을 통해 일상을 하나의 반복적인 놀이로 전환함으로써 현실의 관계적 맥락을 강조하고자 하는 것이다.
