As the demand for national security and national safety is gradually increasing in accordance with the trend of the times and social environment, and the use of private areas for effective prevention and supply required for the demand for safety services, this paper analyzed the Japanese private security testing system for the introduction of the Korea security certification system as a way to secure expertise in the private security industry and drew the following conclusion. First, certificate segmentation should be carried out according to the clearly divided field and scope of the expense operation. Second, it is necessary to distinguish the qualification of the private security qualification according to the level. Third, it is necessary to utilize the combined evaluation method through the departmental and practical tests. Fourth, an assessment should be made through the link between departments and practical subjects. Fifth, the diversity of the acquisition methods should be placed to ensure the gainer's accessibility. 시대적 흐름과 사회적 환경에 따라 국가안보와 국민안전에 대한 수요가 점차 증가하고 있으며, 안전서비스 수요에 필요한 공급과 효과적 예방을 위한 민간영역의 활용이 점차 요구됨에 따라 본 논문에서는 민간경비산업의 전문성 확보를 위한 하나의 방안으로 일본의 민간경비원 검정제도의 분석한 내용을 바탕으로 그 시사점을 한국 민간경비산업 전문화 방안에 대하여 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 명확히 구분된 경비업무의 분야와 범위에 따른 자격증 세분화가 이루어져야 한다. 둘째, 수준에 따른 민간경비 검정자격의 구분이 필요하다. 셋째, 학과시험과 실기시험을 통한 복합적 평가방법의 활용이 필요하다. 넷째, 학과-실기과목의 연계를 통한 평가가 이루어져야 한다. 다섯째, 자격취득 방법의 다양화를 두어 자격취득자의 접근성을 확보해야 한다. 마지막으로 검정합격자에 대한 혜택부여를 통해 전문인력의 활용과 가시적 활용이 이루어져야 한다. 이처럼 6가지의 시사점에 대하여 한국 민간경비 검정제도의 도입 시 민간경비업 구분의 불명확함, 교육훈련체계 미비로 인한 검정을 위한 과목구성과 체계 부족, 검정과목과 업무관련성 미비 등의 문제를 해결하고 나아가 새로운 시대의 전문화된 안전전문산업으로서의 역할과 고객의 수요에 부합한 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 해야 한다.
