The role of the producer in the rapidly developing Korean film industry has grown dramatically. In fact, before 1990, Korean film production methods were planned and developed to the extent that they were managed by the production manager or director. However, since 1992, the system of producers in film production has been introduced and settled, and now plays an important role in film production. At this point, producers are playing a central role in supporting the waist of the Korean film industry. New and exciting projects, rational and efficient production management, realistic and appropriate budget planning and execution, the company has designed and produced high-quality works to protect the Korean film industry. This paper focuses on the role and importance of such producers in the production process of the feature film “Deoksuguri 5 Brothers”, focusing on actual cases of pre - production. In addition, we present a 7-step process for the harmonious and active work progress of the producers in the work process in the pre-production, and study actual cases accordingly. This is a necessary process in the film production process, emphasizing the importance and necessity of the producer in the present of the Korean film market. In order to revitalize and develop the Korean film industry in the future, producers should strive to create new systems and capital markets for stable planning and development, to establish a new relationship with investors and to create a reasonable production environment, It is necessary to know that a movie with both perfection and commerciality can be created when it is equipped, and it is necessary to keep the artist and manager'

급속하게 발전하고 있는 한국영화산업에서 프로듀서의 역할은 급격하게 신장하게 되었다. 사실상 1990년 이전의 한국영화제작방식은 제작 부장이나 감독에 의해 현장을 관리하는 정도의 수준으로 영화 를 기획, 개발하였다. 그러나 1992년을 기점으로 하여 영화제작에 있어서의 프로듀서의 시스템이 도입되 어 정착되었고, 현재는 영화제작에서는 없어서는 안 될 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있다. 현시점에서 프로듀서들은 한국영화산업의 허리를 지탱할 수 있는 중심적인 역할을 하고 있다. 새롭고 흥미로운 기획, 합리적이며 효율적인 프로덕션의 운영, 현실적이며 적정한 예산의 수립과 집행으로 완성 도 높은 작품을 기획하고 제작하여 한국영화산업을 지키고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 프로듀서의 역할과 중요성을 장편영화《덕수리 5형제》의 제작과정 중 프리프로덕션의 실제 사례를 중심으로 연구한다. 또한 프리프러덕션에서의 작업 과정 속에서 프로듀서의 조화롭고 능동적인 작업 진행을 위한 7단계의 과정을 제시하여, 이에 따른 실제 사례를 연구한다. 이는 영화제작 과정에서의 필요한 과정으로 이를 통 해 한국영화시장의 현재에 프로듀서의 중요성과 필요성을 강조하였다. 앞으로 한국영화산업 부흥과 발전을 위해서는 프로듀서들이 안정된 기획개발을 위한 새로운 시스템 과 자본시장을 개척하고 투자사와의 관계를 새롭게 정립하며 합리적인 제작환경을 만들기 위해 노력해 야 하고, 창작적 요소와 자본이 조화와 균형을 갖출 때 완성도와 상업성을 모두 갖춘 영화가 만들어질 수 있음을 알아야 하고 예술가와 경영자의 시각을 조화롭게 유지하여 완성도 높은 작품을 이끌어 낼 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다.
