Webtoon is basically a genre that provides pleasure of enjoyment as the most popular visual medium composed of illustrations and stories. This study was to investigate the effect of Webtoon's illustration and story quality on satisfaction and collection value. We set up research models and hypotheses based on previous studies and conducted questionnaires on subscribers. First, Webtoon 's illustration and story quality have positive effect on satisfaction. Second, only the illustration quality has a positive effect on the collection value. Third, satisfaction has a positive effect on the collection value. Fourth, Satisfaction between story quality and collection value did not show significant mediating effect, but satisfaction between illustration quality and collection value showed partial mediating effect of positive influence. In other words, the quality of illustration has a direct effect on the collection value and it is an important variable that influences the collection value through satisfaction. Through this study, it was confirmed that illustration quality is a key factor contributing to the collection value. Also, by understanding the relation between illustration, satisfaction, and collection value, it is meaningful that this research has once again recognized what fundamental factors that Webtoon writers should have in producing webtoons.

웹툰은 기본적으로 일러스트와 스토리로 구성된 가장 대중적인 영상매체로 향유의 즐거움을 제공하 는 장르이다. 본 연구는 웹툰의 일러스트와 스토리 품질이 만족을 매개하여 소장가치에 미치는 영향을 구체적으로 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 선행연구 를 바탕으로 연구모형과 가설을 설정하고 구독자를 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 웹툰 의 일러스트 품질과 스토리 품질은 만족에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 웹툰 품질 중 일러스트 품질만이 소장가치에 정(+)의 영향을 미 치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 만족은 소장가치에 정 (+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 스토 리 품질과 소장가치사이에서 만족은 유의한 매개효 과가 나타나지 않았으나, 일러스트 품질과 소장가치 사이에서 만족은 정(+)의 영향으로 부분매개효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 일러스트 품질은 소장 가치에 직접적인 영향을 미칠 뿐 아니라 만족을 경 유해서도 소장가치에 영향을 미치는 중요한 변수임 을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해, 일러스트 품질이 소장가치에 기여하는 핵심 요인임을 확인하였다 또 한 웹툰의 일러스트 및 스토리 품질과 소장가치의 관계를 파악함으로써 웹툰 작가 지망생들이 웹툰 제 작 시 갖추어야 하는 본질이 무엇인지 다시 한 번 인식하게 하였다는데 본 연구의 의의가 있다.
