The purpose of this study was to examine the awareness and needs of arts therapists and arts therapy professionals for research ethics. This study includes 109 people who were 103 arts therapists and 6 arts therapy professionals. The arts therapists majored in arts therapy at graduate school and have working as therapists. After a survey was conducted on the arts therapists, the collected data were analyzed in consideration of background variables including academic credential, research experience, research ethics education experience and experience of publishing an article. And the arts therapy professionals were asked to give their opinions on the necessity of research ethics and which themes should be dealt with in research ethics for arts therapists. The major findings of the study were as follows: First of all, the arts therapists weren't well aware of research ethics in general. Next, whether there were any differences among them in research ethics awareness according to the themes of research ethics areas and their own background variables was analyzed. As a result, no significant differences were found in terms of confidentiality, plagiarism, redundant publication and the code of ethics for therapists according to the background variables. However, there were significant differences in terms of data management, author qualifications, conflicts of interests, data manipulation, the method of citation and the publication of findings according to the background variables. Finally, the awareness and needs of the arts therapy professionals were as follows: First, the arts therapy professionals were highly cognizant of the need for research ethics education. Second, as for the major areas of research ethics for arts therapists, they commented that research methodology including how to write a paper should be included as one of the major areas. Third, as to an educational institution of research ethics for arts therapists, they commented that a college or graduate school which was to education arts therapists would be most appropriate. Fourth, concerning the reason why research ethics was important for arts therapists, their opinion was that those whom arts therapists research were socially disadvantaged, and that it focused on humans. Fifth, regarding how to make research ethics take root among arts therapists, they stressed that not only the roles of educational institutions but those of related academic societies were of importance.

본 연구는 예술치료사와 예술치료전문가의 연구윤리 인식 및 요구를 알아보는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 연구 대상은 대학에서 예술치료를 전공하였거나 대학원과정에서 예술치료를 전공하고 치료사로 활동하고 있는 예술치료사 103 명과 예술치료 전문가 6명 등 전체 109명으로 하였다. 연구에 참여한 예술치료사를 대상으로 설문을 실시한 다음 학력, 연구경험, 연구윤리 수강경험, 학술논문 출판경험 등 배경변인에 따라 분석하였다. 또한 예술치료 전문가를 대상으로는 전문가가 인식한 연구윤리의 필요성과 예술치료사의 연구윤리에서 다루어야 할 주제 등과 관련된 요구 를 알아보았다. 이와 같은 절차와 방법을 통하여 나타난 결과를 요약 정리하면 다음과 같다. 먼저, 예술치료사의 연구윤리 인식은 전반적으로 낮게 나타났다. 다음으로, 연구윤리 영역별 주제 및 치료사의 배경변인에 따라 인식의 차이를 알아본 결과 첫째, 비밀보장, 표절, 중복게재 및 치료사 윤리강령 등은 배경변인에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 데이터 처리방법, 저자 자격기준, 이해충돌, 데이터 조작, 인용방법, 연구결과 발표 등은 배경변인에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 끝으로 예술치료 전문가들의 인식 및 요구는 첫째, 예술치료사의 연구윤 리교육의 필요성에 대하여 높은 인식을 하고 있다. 둘째, 예술치료사를 대상으로 한 연구윤리의 주요 영역에는 논문작성방법을 포함한 연구방법론 등이 포함되어야 한다는 의견을 나타냈다. 셋째. 예술치료사를 대상 연구윤리 교육기관으로는 예술치료사 양성대학(원)이 가장 적합하다는 견해를 나타냈다. 넷째, 예술치료사들에게 연구윤리가 중요한 이유에 대하여는 예술치료사의 연구대상이 사회적 약자이고 또한 인간을 대상으로 하는 연구이기 때문이라 는 의견을 제시하였다. 다섯째, 예술치료사의 연구윤리에 대한 인식을 높이기 위해서는 예술치료사를 양성하는 교육기관뿐 아니라 관련 학술단체의 역할도 중요하다는 점을 강조 하였다.
