This paper analyzed changes in the changing of production efficiency causing of the production facilities informationization project carried out by the Small and Medium Business Administration in 2008. Objects of this study are 40 firms, which applied on the project. Among them, 30 firms are adopted and 10 firma unadopted. We have compared changes in production efficiency between adopted and unadopted firms based on the Malmquist Analysis. The input variables are labor costs, workforce, total assets, sales cost, selling expenses and administration cost, while the output variables are the total sales and the gross value added. The result indicates that firms adopted by the informationization project stimulated their process- and production innovation and lowered their production error rate.

생산설비정보화 사업은 2008년 중소기업청에서 40개의 신청기업 중 30개를 선정 하여 실시하였다. 본 연구에서는 본 사업의 효과를 횡단자료와 시계열 자료의 장점을 모두 취하는 방법인 맘퀴스트 분석을 통하여 추정하였다. 투입변수로는 인건비, 종업 원 수, 매출원가, 총자산 그리고 판매비와 관리비를, 산출변수로는 매출액과 부가가 치 총액을 선택하였다. 기술적 효율지수(TECI), 기술변화지수(TCI), 순수기술적 효율성지수(PEC), 규모 효율성지수(SECI) 그리고 생산성지수(MPI)를 통하여 검증한 결과는 사업에 선정된 기업들의 효율성이 선정되지 못한 기업들보다 평균적으로 높게 상승하였다. 이는 생산설비정보화사업이 대부분의 채택된 기업들에게 생산공정 및 제품 혁신을 높이 고, 생산물의 불량률을 줄일 수 있도록 기여한 것을 의미한다. 생산설비정보화사업에 채택되어 참여하였음에도 TECI와 PECI가 개선되지 않은 기업들은 최신기술을 실제생산에 적용할 수 있는 업무능력과 경영능력을 갖춘 경영 자나 실무자확보를 통하여 효율성을 높일 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
