Sea ranching is one of the most environment friendly methode for coast marine resources construct. This maintains this natural ecosystem and increases the productivity. Artificial fish-reefs are dropped into coast to help fish inhabit and spawn. Research on the sea ranching started in Japan and Norway a long time ago. This paper has studied the benefit of the Busan Gijang sea ranching, installed in 2013. The direct benefit on income increase has been calculated with the empirical date of Tong Young sea ranching. The indirect benefit has been estimated with the travel cost method and the economic value of recovering ecosystem with contingent valuation methode. It results that the direct benefit amounts 4,814 hundred million, the indirect benefit 5,221 hundred million and the economic value of recovering ecosystem 3,377 hundred million won with 2% discount rate.

바다목장은 연안 자원의 조성방법 중 가장 환경 친화적으로 알려져 있다. 생태 계를 보전할 수 있으며 대규모의 첨단 기술을 사용하여 생산성을 높일 수 있는 방 안이다. 인공어초를 연안에 투하하여 어류 산란과 서식을 위한 장소를 인위적으로 조성한다. 조성된 바다목장에는 선별된 치어를 대량 방류하여 어업자원을 증대시 킬 수 있다. 바다목장 사업은 노르웨이와 일본에서는 오래 전부터 실행되어왔고, 뉴질랜드와 미국에서도 활발한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 부산 기장 연안을 대상으로 바다목장의 편익을 분석하였다. 기 장 어민들의 소득 증대효과에 대한 직접 편익은 통영 시범바다목장사업의 추정치 를 간접 활용하여 계산하였다. 간접편익은 낚시꾼들을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 토 대로, 여행비용접근법에 의하여 경제적 가치를 추정하였다. 그리고 생태계 회복효 과에 대한 경제적 가치 산정에는 가상가치접근법을 이용하였다. 할인율 2%를 적 용하면 직접편익의 합은 4,814억 9600만원. 간접편익은 5,220억 6400만원, 생태계 의 회복가치의 가치는 3,376억 81백만원으로 추정되었다.
