In December, 1978, group of leaders in China had changed the policy route into reform and opening. And it has been 27 years now. This paper is about analyzing main contents, results and issues of China's economic reform, and proposing the prospect of China. First of all, in Chapter 2, we examine what China's economy gives us the meaning and significance through a form of why China comes into the spotlight. Also we look into logic and theory backing up economic reform, and summarize main contents and characters of reform and opening in Chapter 3. And then in Chapter 4, this paper divides the performances of reform and opening into quantitative development side and qualitative change of economics system. In Chapter 5, it tries to analyze various problems, as a result of economic reform, in the view of increase in both economics gap and social conflict deepening. Finally, this paper prospects the possibilities of China's economic on the basis of sustainability of economic advances and change of socialism's character.

1978년 12월에 열린 중국공산당 제11기 3중전회에서 중국이 개혁ㆍ개방의 방 향으로 정책전환을 단행한 지 이제 만 27년이 경과하였다. 이 논문은 지난 사반 세기에 걸친 중국 경제개혁의 주요 내용과 성과, 문제점을 종합적으로 분석 고 찰하고 금후의 전망을 제시한 것이다. 우선 제II절에서는 우리가 중국경제에 주 목하는 이유는 무엇인가라는 질문의 형식으로 중국경제가 우리에게 갖는 의미 와 중요성을 짚어 보았다. 이어 III절에서는 경제개혁을 뒷받침한 논리와 이론을 살피고, 개혁·개방 정책의 주요 내용과 특징을 간략히 정리하였다. IV절에서는 개혁·개방 정책의 성과를 경제의 양적 성장의 측면과 경제체제의 질적 변화라는 두 측면으로 나누어 고찰하였다. 이어 V절에서는 경제개혁의 결과 출현한 문제 점을 다양한 경제격차의 확대와 사회적 갈등의 심화라는 측면에 초점을 맞추어 분석하였다. 마지막 VI절에서는 금후 경제성장의 지속 가능성과 사회주의의 성 격 변화를 중심으로 중국경제의 장래를 전망하였다.
