This study analyzed the types of organizational culture on the basis of the competition value model to see how the organizational culture of the police in the cable TV drama exists. To summarize the analysis results, first, the type of police organization culture that appeared in the drama simultaneously appeared in hierarchy culture and market culture. Second, the main background of the drama, police patrol unit, showed a clan culture, police executives are a clan culture and a hierarchy culture, general police officers are a hierarchy culture, preliminary police showed strong market culture in the first half of the drama, and strong clan culture in the second half. Third, the type of organizational culture of the Central Police School appeared in the drama as a hierarchy culture.

본 연구는 케이블 TV드라마 <라이브>에 나타나는 경찰, 특히 지구대의 조직문화는 어떤 형태 로 존재하고 있는지를 경쟁가치모형에 기초하여 조직문화의 유형을 분석하였다. 분석결과 및 함 의를 요약하면 첫째, 드라마에 나타난 경찰 조직문화 유형은 위계지향문화와 시장지향문화가 동 시에 나타났다. 둘째, 드라마의 주요배경조직인 ‘홍일 지구대’ 전체는 관계지향문화, 간부경찰(경정, 경감, 경위)은 관계지향문화와 위계지향문화, 비간부 사수(경사, 경장)는 위계지향문화, 시보 순경 은 드라마 초중반에는 시장지향문화, 후반에는 관계지향문화가 강하게 나타났다. 셋째, 드라마에 나타난 중앙경찰학교 조직문화 유형은 위계지향문화로 나타났다. 넷째, 드라마 제작 활성화라는 차원에서 심층적인 취재와 자문을 통하여 경찰드라마를 포함한 전문직 또는 직업드라마의 현실 반영 강화와 TV드라마를 통한 바람직한 조직문화에 대한 이해와 공감대 형성 및 확산이 필요하다.
