The purpose of this study was to understand circulations of the saints, church exit phenomenon in terms of John Bowlby's attachment theory, and to propose a pastoral counseling method that can help the recovery of wandering believers outside the church. These phenomena had described as the “voice-exit theory” and “deprivation-compensation theory” in terms of the existing sociological view, but this study was made to explain them with the “attachment theory”. Some believers who experienced insecure attachment expressed 'complaint' in order to solve the church’s pathological problem, and if the problem did not solve, they expressed ‘anger’ and ‘resistance’ through the acting of ‘breakaway’. If we can understand these phenomena as part of an expression of anger as an attachment disorder, we can work out a plan for their recovery by directing targets to the believers who are carrying out saint's circulations and exit from church. As much as the improvement of the pathological problem of church and pastoralism and changes in the environment, it is important to directly deal with the inherent feelings of resistance, anger against church and pastoralism through counseling approaches to them. In this study, the use of group of counselors was proposed for them.

본 연구는 신자들의 수평이동, 교회이탈 현상을 John Bowlby의 애 착이론 관점에서 이해하고, 교회 밖에서 유랑하는 신자들의 회복을 도 울 수 있는 목회상담적 방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이런 현 상들은 기존 사회학적인 관점에서‘항의-이탈이론’과‘박탈-보상이 론’으로 설명했는데, 본 연구에서는 교회 안에서 불안정애착을 경험한 신자들이 애착장애로서 표출하는 분노 행동의 일환으로 보았다. 불안 정애착을 경험한 신자들은 교회의 병리적인 문제의 개선을 위해‘항 의’를 표출하고, 문제가 개선되지 않을 경우에는‘이탈’이라는 행동을 통해‘분노’와‘저항’을 표출하게 된다. 두 현상을 애착장애로서 분노 표출의 일환으로 이해할 수 있다면, 수평이동과 이탈을 감행하는 신자 들을 직접적인 대상으로 삼아 그들의 회복을 위한 상담적 방안 마련이 가능하다. 교회와 목회자의 병리적인 문제의 개선과 환경의 변화만큼, 교회를 방문하는 수평이동, 이탈 신자들을 대상으로 안정애착경험을 제공해 주고, 상담적인 접근을 통해 그들 안에 내재한 교회와 목회자에 대한 분노, 저항의 감정을 직접 다루어 줄 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이들 을 대상으로 한 상담소그룹의 활용 방안을 제시했다.
