The purpose of this study was to identify the trends of research on vocational education and training by using keyword network analysis methodology, and to provide implications of future vocational education and training. We analyzed 3,326 keywords of 1,083 papers published in vocational education and training-related journals in Korea from 2003 to 2017. For this study, Network structure and centrality analysis were conducted. Also NetMiner 4.0 was performed. The results of the study were as follows: First, the subjects of vocational education and training research were the labor market vulnerable classes such as vocational high school students, college graduates, the disabled, unemployed, career interrupted women, and SME workers. And research topics covered with career, education, and employment. Secondly, vocational education and training research were integrated with education, employment and welfare. Thirdly, according to perspectives, the focus of research were differences. Finally, vocational education and training research have been developed along with the major vocational skills development policies of each period. In conclusion, the results of this study provided valuable insights for understanding the research of vocational education and training.

본 연구는 국내 직업교육훈련 관련 연구의 특성을 파악하고, 향후 직업교육훈련 연구에 시 사점을 도출하는데 목적이 있다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 직업교육훈련과 관련된 국내 연 구 중 2003년∼2016년까지 등재학술지에 게재된 논문 1083편의 키워드 3,326개를 분석하 였다. 분석은 키워드 네트워크구조 및 중심성분석을 실시하였으며, 연구분야 및 연도별 특징 을 심층적으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전체 키워드 분석결과, 직업교육훈 련의 대상은 직업계 고등학생 및 대졸청년, 장애인, 중소기업 근로자 등 노동시장 취약계층이 주를 이루어지고 있었으며, 연구내용은 진로, 교육, 취업을 전반적으로 포괄하고 있었다. 둘 째, 직업교육훈련 연구는 교육분야 학문을 중심으로 노동, 복지분야와 연결됨으로서 교육과 고용을 통한 복지차원에서의 직업교육훈련의 역할을 강조하고 있었다. 셋째, 직업교육훈련을 바라보는 관점에 따라 진로 혹은 취업, 조직성과 등 연구의 초점에 차이를 보였다. 마지막으 로 직업교육훈련 연구는 연도별 주요 직업능력개발 정책과 함께 발전하는 특성을 보였다. 이 러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 향후 직업교육훈련에 대한 방향과 시사점을 제시하였다.
