Based on the theoretical opinions and existing studies that specific paths through which an individuals attachment-related internal working model functions are exceptionally complex, the present study aimed to confirm the mediating effect of rejection sensitivity, maladaptive self-focus attention on the relationship between adult attachment and dysfunctional anger expression among university students. The data were collected from 370 university students and were analyzed through structural equation modeling. The main research findings were as follow: First, when higher scores on adult attachment anxiety were led to more anger expression and anger suppression. And when higher scores on adult attachment avoidance were led to more anger suppression. Second, adult attachment anxiety led to university students' higher scores on maladaptive self-focus attention, which in turn predicted higher levels on anger suppression. Third, adult attachment anxiety/avoidance had an effect on dysfunctional anger expression through the sequential double mediation of rejection sensitivity and maladaptive self-focus attention. The significance and limitations of the present study and directions for future research were also discussed.

본 연구는 애착이론 및 분노표현방식에 관련된 선행연구들을 근거로 하여 대학생의성인애착 불안/회피와 분노표현방식의 관계에서 거부민감성과 부적응적 자기초점주의의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 대학생 370명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 구조방정식을 이용하여 분석하였으며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 애착불안이 높을수록 분노표출과 분노억제를 많이 사용하였고, 애착회피가 높을수록 분노억제를 많이 사용하였다. 둘째, 애착불안은 부적응적 자기초점주의를매개로 분노억제에 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 성인애착 불안/회피는 거부민감성과 부적응적자기초점주의의 순차적 이중매개로 분노억제에 영향을 미쳤다. 끝으로 본 연구의 제한점과 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.
