Recently, national curriculum of Korean language has changed three times in 10 years from 2007 revised curriculum, 2009 revised curriculum, 2012 curriculum, to 2015 revised curriculum. The names of the Korean elective subjects were changed and textbooks were newly created with each revision. The name of Literary subject has remained the same after the fourth curriculum, but textbooks have been replaced according to the curriculum changes. In the past, literary works in literary textbooks were often determined by dominant ideology or power. Such works still remain in literary textbooks and are called Canon. Due to the Canon, it is difficult for other works to be written in literary textbooks. Literature education should conform to the content system and achievement standards. However, people tend to take lightly the standard related to local literature education among the achievement standards presented in the curriculum. In particular, we do not regard the importance of learning various cultures and contributing to the development of community culture through literature However, we need to educate literary works that deal with various local places and characters in order to understand diverse cultures. So far, local literature like Kim Jung-han's works did not appear in textbooks because of the tendency not to consider local literature as important. Kim Jeong-han is a writer who had been interested in the lives of the people while living in Busan. He mainly wrote realistic novels reflecting reality. He lived in the region and was a writer who deals with the region. However, the locality he deals with is not a narrow sense of locality but a broad sense of locality. All places and spaces are local. The region is not fixed but fluid and dynamic. The regions get together and become the world. Understanding the world is therefore an understanding of the various regions. Therefore, it is necessary to study the works that contain local characteristics and accuse the problems of reality like Kim Jeong-han’s works. Local literacy education is important to understand the diverse cultures and values ​​of the region. Local literacy education is also necessary to understand community consciousness and cultural diversity. To do this, the local curriculum should be changed to suit the characteristics of the region.

최근 국어과 교육과정은 2007 개정 교육과정, 2009 개정 교육과정, 2012 고시 교육과정, 2015 개정 교육과정까지 10년 동안 4번의 변동이 있었다. 교육과정이 개정될 때마다 국어 선택 과목들의 명칭이 변경되었고 교과서도 계속 새로 개발되었다. 이러한 교육과정의 변화는 문학 과목에도 영향을 주었다. 문학 과목은 4차 교육과정 이후 과목명은 그대로 유지되어 국어 교과의 선택과목으로 독립적인 지위를 부여받았다. 하지만 문학교과서는 교육과정 변경에 따라 2007 개정 교육과정 이후 현재까지 3번에 걸쳐 새로 개발되었다. 이로 인해 문학교과서에 수록된 문학작품들도 많은 변화를 겪었다. 이전 교육과정에 비해 새로 수록되거나 제외되는 작품들의 비율 변동이 증가했다. 과거에 문학 교과서에 수록되는 문학작품들은 지배이데올로기나 권력에 의해서 정해지는 경우가 많았다. 그런 작품들이 지금도 문학 교과서에 일부 그대로 남아 있고 이런 작품들을 정전이라고 부른다. 문학 정전 때문에 다른 작품들이 문학 교과서에 실리기 어렵게 된다. 이런 상황에서 김정한의 소설이 최근 교육과정에 따른 교과서에는 거의 대부분 제외되었다. 본고는 그동안 문학 본질적 측면에서 거치를 부여받고 수록되었던 김정한의 소설이 최근 교육과정에서는 제외된 원인이 지역 문학 교육의 홀대에 있다고 분석하였다. 이를 위해서 먼저 국가 수준 문학 교육과정에 대한 분석과 지역 수준 문학 교육과정에 대한 분석이 필요했다. 문학 교육은 내용 체계와 성취 기준에 따라야 한다. 그런데 사람들은 교육과정에 제시된 성취기준 중 지역 문학 교육과 관련된 내용을 가볍게 여기는 경우가 많다. 특히 성취기준 중에 문학을 통해서 다양한 문화를 배우고 공동체 문화 발전에 기여할 수 있다는 항목을 중요하게 생각하지 않는다. 하지만 다양한 문화를 이해하기 위해서는 다양한 공간과 지역을 다루는 문학작품 교육이 필요하다. 지금까지는 지역 문학에 대해 중요하게 생각하지 않는 경향 때문에 김정한과 같은 지역 작가의 작품이 교과서에 실리지 못했다. 김정한은 부산에서 평생 살면서 민중들의 삶에 관심을 가졌던 작가이다. 그는 현실을 반영한 리얼리즘 소설을 주로 썼다. 그는 지역에 살면서 지역을 다루는 작가였다. 하지만 그가 다루는 지역성은 좁은 의미의 지역성이 아니라 넓은 의미의 지역성이다. 모든 장소와 공간은 지역적이다. 지역은 고정되어 있는 것이 아니라 유동적이다. 지역이 모여서 세계가 된다. 그러므로 세계를 이해하는 것은 다양한 지역들을 이해하는 것이다. 그래서 김정한과 같이 지역성을 담고 있으면서 현실의 문제점을 고발하는 작품을 공부할 필요가 있다. 지역의 다양한 문화와 가치관을 이해하기 위해서 지역 문학 교육이 중요하다. 또 공동체 의식과 문화의 다양성을 이해하기 위해서 지역 문학 교육은 반드시 필요하다. 이를 위해서 지역 교육과정을 실질적으로 지역의 특성에 맞게 바꾸어야 한다.
