This study analyzed the impact on the financial performance of the South Korea Free Trade Agreement. The analysis of corporate performance was the reaction of the stock market. Analysis method was used to Event Study and Abnormal returns were estimated using a market model. First, we calculated the average of the average abnormal return AAR) exceeds the sum of the individual companies return AR). Next, by performing a T-TEST for the average abnormal return exceeds the significance analyzed. The results are as follows. First, the reaction in the stock market for Korea-Chile FTA was the highest abnormal return AR) in -3 days , and most showed a significant result . Second, the reaction of the events for Korea-EU FTA in the stock market was recorded abnormal return AR) throughout the entire period of the +), also shows the most significant results. Third, it recorded a negative abnormal returns show a negative reaction in the market for a free trade agreement with the United States. After all, the stock market showed a positive reaction to the case of free trade agreements with Chile and the European Union, However, for a free trade agreement with the United States it showed the opposite.

본 연구는 자유무역협정이 한국기업의 경영성과에 어떠한 영향을 끼치는가에 대하여 단기적 성과를 분석하였다. 기업의 단기적 성과는 주식시장에서의 반응으로 분석을 시도하며, 분석방법은 사건연구(event study)를 시도하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한-칠레 FTA 발효에 대한 주식시장에서의 반응은 –3일과 +2일에 가장 높은 비정상수익률(AR)을 기록하였으며 대부분 유의한 결과를 보였다. 둘째, 유럽연합과 자유무역협정을 체결한 사건에 대하여 주식시장에서의 반응은 전기간에 걸쳐 +)의 비정상수익률(ar)을 기록하였으며, 역시 대부분 유의한 결과를 보이고 있다. 셋째, 미국과의 자유무역협정에 대해서는 시장에서 부정적인 반응을 보여 -)의 비정상수익률을 기록하였다. 이러한 점은 한국이 칠레 및 유럽연합과 자유무역협정을 체결하여 발효한다는 사건에 대하여 주식시장에서는 긍정적인 반응을 보여 한국기업의 주가는 상승하였으므로 기업의 성과는 증가하였다고 판단할 수 있다. 그러나 미국과의 자유무역협정에 대해서는 반대의 결과를 보여주고 있다.
