Compared with the influence of the infectious disease on the late Chosun society, precedent research is very limited. Since many epidemic texts of late Joseon are passed down by manuscripts, bibliographic research is necessary before full-scale content research. This paper confirms the original text of Collection of Smallpoxology (Dugwa-hwipyeon) and discusses the significance and limitations of publishing Joseon. Collection of Smallpoxology as a medical book of smallpox written by Zhai Liang has had many influences on East Asian smallpoxology, published several times in the Qing and also in the woods in Joseon. This book’s publication in Gyeongsang-Gamyeong was published with only some modifications based on the version of chihwadang published in China in 1773, This version is the only version published in Chosun. The composition of this book is similar to Experience prescriptions on Smallpox (Duchang-gyeongheombang)’s composition which was used at the time in Chosun, and its contents are well - organized and well - organized and could serve as a comprehensive guide to smallpox treatment.

전염병이 조선후기 사회에 미친 영향에 비하여 기존의 연구는 미진한 편이다. 조선후기의 전염병 전문서는 상당수가 필사본에 의해 전승되는 만큼, 본격적인 내용 연구에 앞서 서지 연구의 필요성이 있다. 본고는 조선간행 『두과휘편』의 저본을 확정하고 조선 간행의 의의와 한계에 대해 논하였다. 적량에 의해 저술된 천연두 전문의서인 『두과휘편』은 청대에 여러 차례 간행되었고, 조선에서도 목판으로 간행되어 동아시아 두창학에 많은 영향을 미쳤다. 이 책의 『영영본』은 1773년에 중국에서 간행된 『치화당각본』을 저본으로 삼아 일부 수정만 한 채 간행 되었는데, 이 판본은 조선에서 간행된 유일한 판본이다. 이 책의 편제는 당시 조선에서 통용되던 『두창경험방』의 편제와 유사한데다, 내용도 풍부하고 잘 정리되어 천연두 치료의 종합 지침서로서 역할이 가능했다.
