The objective of this study is to prove the assumed evidence of accident cause which is primarily from organizational factors rather than human errors or working environment factors. With the references of HEAR human error texonomy and KTX railroad accident report, the root cause of accidents turned out to be from organizational factors such as regulation/procedure management problems and education/training problems. The results was tested statistically with Matlab and verified through feasibility test of visualization of the design process.

본 연구에서는 사고의 원인이 인적오류나 작업환경보다 조직적인 원인이 근본원인이라 가정하여 검증된 인적오류 분석체계를 이용하여 사례의 근본원인을 추론하는 연구를 진행하였다. HEAR인적오류체계와 철도사고조사보고서를 참고하여 사고를 분석 한 결과 KTX 열차 탈선사고의 근본 원인은 규정/절차의 관리 미흡, 교육/훈련 평가 및 개선 미흡 등이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, Matlab을 이용하여 근본원인을 도출하는 과정과 결과를 시각화 할 수 있는 툴의 제작 가능성을 확인하였다.
