The purpose of this study is to determine the long-term exchange rate exposure and interest rate exposure of the KOSPI individual companies. ARDL-bound test, FMOLS and DOLS were used for analysis. For an analysis of effect factors, the system SUR method as well as the 2-step method was performed. We find that the exchange rate exposure puzzle exists in the long-term exchange rate exposure and interest rate exposure. In the 2 periods, significant exposure increased, but the absolute percentage of significant exposure is not large. It was confirmed by comparing the short-term analysis with the long-term analysis. In the short-term there was a negative relationship between exchange rate and stock prices before the korean financial crisis, in contrast to the positive relationship between exchange rate and stock prices in the long-term analysis. The results indicate that besides the change of foreign investment, real factors are major influencing factors on the stock price in the long-term. Effect factors of exposures have produced different results depending on the nature of the market. Therefore, there is a need to divide the period for the study.

본 연구는 코스피 개별 기업의 주가에 대한 장기 환노출 및 금리노출을 분석하기 위해 ARDL-bound test, FMOLS 및 DOLS를 이용하여 장기 환노출 및 금리노출을 추정하였다. 장기 환노출 및 금리노출의 영향요인 분석에는 2단계 추정법 및 System SUR을 이용하였다. 분석결과 장기 환노출 및 금리노출에서도 환노출 퍼즐은 여전히 확인되었다. 2기의 경우 유의한 환노출 및 금리노출의 수가 증가하지만 절대적 비중은 크지 않다. 단기분석과 비교를 통해 확인한 점은 외환위기 이후 확인되던 환율과 주가의 부(-)의 관계가 장기 분석에서는 정(+)의 관계로 나타난다는 것이다. 이는 외국인투자의 변화보다 실물적 요인이 장기적으로는 주가에 주된 영향요소가 되기 때문일 것이다. 기간을 구분하여 분석한 결과, 환노출과 금리노출에 대한 영향요인이 해당 시점의 시장의 특성에 따라 다른 영향을 보이는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 점은 환노출 및 금리노출 연구에 있어서 시장상황의 고려가 중요함을 나타낸다.
