This paper focuses on the importance of the name of the political system. Title of a reigning dynasty had have an important significance in the history, especially for the East Asian countries such as South Korea. In Korean history dynasty had been named like “Han”, “Khan”, “Kan”, “Gan” many times. A powerful proof is that, t the beginning of modern history Korea choose its country name by using an ancient oriental language roots “Kan”, with the means of the word as “big”, “many”, “bright”, “truth”, “lead” and soon. This word was also used to name a king, who dominated at some specific historical period like Silla. In fact, this word was widely used in ancient Altai ethnic countries such as Turks, Mongolia, even in some countries established by the Uygur people, such like The “Uighur Khanate”. In the author's opinion, country name of Korea has an intrinsic relation with word of khanate which had been usually used on ancient Altai dynasty. The root of the word “Kan”, means both "civilian freedom" and "A grand national".

이 논문은 한민족의 정체성을 수복하고, 위기를 극복할 수 있는 해결 모델 혹은 발전모델들을 우리 역사에서 찾을 필요성을 전제로 시도된 글 이다. 이 글에서는 그 대표적 사례로「대한독립선언서(무오독립선언 서)」에 주목했다. 그 역사적 무게가 남다름에도 그 선언의 존재와 그와 연관된 인물들의 활동과 업적을 약화시키거나 지워버리려는 다양한 움직 임이 있다고 보았기 때문이다. 그러므로 이 글에서는 대한독립선언서의 존재를 알리고, 그 정확한 의미와 구체적인 가치를 규명하는데 초점을 맞췄다. 그 방법으로 「대한독립선언서」와 「기미독립선언서」의 대비 를 통해 그 차이점과 차이점 발생의 배경을 살펴보았다. 또한 「대한독 립선언서」의 사상적 특성과 지향목표인 한(韓)의 본질과 의미를 언어 역사적인 관점에서 접근하고 대한제국이라는 국호를 채택한 배경과 과정 까지도 분석하였다.
