The article shows that there is a second aspect in the history of The Hermeneutical Developement of Neo-Confucianism in Korea that has never been noticed. The first phase consisted of a series of explorations of ZhūZǐEncyclopedia(朱子大全). There are clearly distinct qualitative steps here. It is divided into three stages, the appearance of editorial, editorial, and hermeneutical writing. A second aspect, in contrast, refers to the genealogical exploration of Èr Chéng Encyclopedia(二程全書). Unfortunately, the genealogy left only chéngshūfēnlèi(程書分類) and chéngshūfēnlèijíyí(程書分類集疑). Moreover, the latter appeared incomplete and soon disappeared. Taking this inadequacy into account and looking forward, we can imagine a chéngshūfēnlèijíyí(程書分類集疑) as a finished book. We can also imagine a book as a future academic project. Its name is èrchéngyánlùnhuàdìngkǎo(二 程言論劃定攷). And these academic assignments are still being done in part. If these predictions and genealogical guesses are valid, then these challenges can now be clearly recognized. We have recognized the completion of the academic project and the pattern and discontinuation of the unfinished academic project in the history of Confucianism in Korea, and now it is time to continue with the disconnected academic history.

이 글은 한국 성리학의 해석학적 발전사에 지금껏 주목받지 못했던 두 번째 양상이 존재한다는 것을 보여준다. 한국 성리학의 해석학적 발전의 첫째 양상은 주희의 『주자대전』에 대한 일련의 탐구로 구성되었고 편집서, 주석서, 해석학적 저술이라는 명백한 질적 도약의 단계들을 가진다. 이와 대비되는 두 번째 양상은 이정 형제의 말과 글, 즉 『이정전서』에 대한 해석학적 탐구의 계보를 가리킨다. 불행하게도 이 계보는 『정서분류』-미완의 『정서분류집의』에서 그쳤다. 이런 불충분성을 감안하고 미래적 관점에서 보자면 우리는 완성본 ｢정서분류집의와 가상의 『이정언론획정고』라는 작업을 가정할 수 있다. 또 이러한 학술적 과제는 현재도 부분적으로 수행중이다. 이런 성찰과 계보학적 추측이 타당하다면, 이제 이러한 앎이 추동하는 학술적 과제를 명료하게 인식할 수 있다. 우리 유학사에존재하는 학술적 기획의 완성과 미완성의 양상 및 단절이 드러났고, 이제 다시 끊어진 학술사의 맥을 이어가야 할 때가 된 것이다.
